I don't think it is a team deal, Brayton is sponsored by Shift. I am a No Fear supported rider and in all of my 2010 literature Grant is still everywhere. Ben, Chris what is the scoop?

That's some of the most hideous looking gear i've ever seen, even by today's standards.

So Grant is going to ride with that ugly gear. Too bad he was cool in NoFear.
Sorry Ruppert. By the way I never understood why you promote that brand. Are you paid by them? I thought you were a journalist.

Nope, it is a legit sponsorship through No Fear, that I have had for several seasons. I don't understand the point of trying to clown my support. I don't use sponsorhouse or any of those type of services. I submit a real resume every season. I was not bragging, just stating the fact that the whole JGR team is not sponsored by Shift, just Brayton. How is that Fox support you got working for you?

With JGR obtaining the Muscle Milk sponsorship, it's direct competition to No Fear's energy drinks, and thus JRG went searching for a new gear sponsor.
I heard the No Fear guys were non to happy, as they designed a set of gear around the JGR team.

Stoked this is finally announced. Shift is some of the best gear around and they have designs for different tastes. This latest Shift gear holds up awesome.

I thought the thread title meant JGR was picking up speed, or changing its strategy....

Personally, my family gave me a complete set of Shift gear for Father's Day this year and the seat of the pants fell apart after ten motos and three washings. The pants material just kind of frayed apart, in several spots, near the stitching.
I don't know if it was their lightweight line of gear, but since I liked everything about it, I was pretty disappointed. It is Assault (red/black/white).
My regular mx gear is two sets of '07 Answer that have had knees repaired and the gloves are fraying a bit, but are holding up excellent otherwise after many, many motos.

Thank you for that picture, idk why no one believed me.

Sorry for doubting you, No Fear must be pissed, they had all of their marketing efforts circled around Grant. It will be hard to market their products around a rider who isn't riding yet.

All of today's Chinese made gear is hit, or miss. Doesn't matter if you spend $20 or $200.

i have some new msr and it is holding up good. The only thing is that alot of gear isnt close to size. I wear 32 pants and when i got some 32s from msr they felt too tight then other companies 32s will feel big
i just dont get it! Maybe its just what i have to eat that dayWink
