Grant? Hill? Reed? Osborne? Who else doesn't already have a chair. They need to do something before daddy pulls the plug, certaily not what he's used to.

This is a good team with zero results. The Stewart experiment failed, Barcia has not achieved what he is capable of.

Peick, Tickle, and go for Justin Hill if Kawasaki doesn't bump him up.

Hill is a hot ticket for 450 2018 but he may not really be available.

What about Wilson, does he have a ride? He's riding way better than Barcia.

He looked good on that Husky the last few races. Hopefully he's staying with that Team.

Kawasaki isn't going to be able to hold onto Grant, Savatgy, Hill, Forkner and Cianciarullo, so I can see one of them landing at JGR for 2018. Plessinger may want to make an early exit from the 250 class if he is enticed by JGR. I'm not sure what is up with Bloss, but he may be 450 bound before he points out of the 250 class, and he's a former Horizon Award winner...that has to count for something.

I see Barcia going to the rocky mtn team and baggett going to red bull ktm.
But jgr is in a decent spot with the talent that's coming.

Forkner is under contract, Savatgy will sign an extension and Cianciarulo is talking to some teams but would be on a 250.

Hill and Grant will be the question mark for Kawi on a 450...

Plessinger will likely sign an extension with Star.

I would think that JGR has to sign somebody from the 250 class whose trajectory points towards being able to contest for wins in the 450 class. There aren't many guys who fit that description, but Mcelrath has shown tremendous improvement since MX last season, and he could be on the short list. I know he has eligibility left in the 250 class, but he may compare favorably to some of the 450 free agents. Who else can you think of JGR going after?

They need to grab someone who gets good press, or can win races.. The amount of money they have dumped into it, and the end results, do not equal a good ratio.

IMO, a 250 team would suit them better, as they have a new talent pool to build on.

it's going to be difficult to sign a potential winner if they haven't sorted out there contract with suzuki for next year.

Does Cianciarulo still have a possible spot with PC or are they going in separate directions?

Maybe that contract next requires they sign a winner... dont forget that the 18 Zook will be all new, I'd swap Grant for Barcia , and keep Peick and Philthy.

I dont see RMATV swapping either guy for Barcia, and if Bagget goes to Factory KTM , there are good enough 250 guys coming up who are worth a punt while they are still cheap.

McElrath is with TLD for 2018.

The 250 squad is going to have their own rig next year and this is mostly being funded by Suzuki themselves, as the bikes aren't built by JGR but are done at Yoshimura in Chino. Even though they're labeled as JGR bikes, Suzuki racing has more of the say on what goes on there. The goal is to farm riders up, of course, but it's not all in JGR's control. They don't pay those salaries.

thought grant was on a 2 year deal with Kawi?

if i was JGR

I'd keep peick, and filthy

if i wanted a 250 guy i would go hard after cianciarulo. he's hit stride and is healthy and he could develop into their next 450 guy.

450 wise.....I would try for Hill or osbourne?
Maybe pick up Reed for SX only then have filthy ride the mx on 450

I can see Savatgy going to RCH. But with him not winning the 250SX crown he will most likely be back at PC.

RC has been in his corner but I think he wants to stay at finger tips length away from him. Savatgy is good for speed here and there but he's never gonna win a championship in either class.

Nobody has to move up. They changed the rule with three races left in the Supercross season.

Agreed, Savatgy has never really had the raw speed that you see in Webb, Martin, AC etc.
