At the bottom of Matthes' Observations column on @RacerXonline, he stated it is looking like Jeremy Martin has a two-year deal with the RCH team for 17' and beyond. He was a Suzuki am rider, and has worked with RC in the past, just prior to O-Show, so probably highly likely this one has some teeth.

will be interesting to see him in supercross this year, he has not set the world on fire so far, but may turn out to be like Baggett and better on a 450 on SX,

outdoors 2 titles do not lie, he will be a contender on a 450 for sure,

No shock that he and Cooper are splitting up. Yamaha made it clear which of the two young stars they want in their future. I see Martin to RCH being a fresh start for him and will fill the void when Ken leaves.

Fresh start from what? Racking up championships?

Maybe playing second fiddle to the guy taking the 250f class by storm and the guy Yamaha chose to head their Factory effort despite loosing two titles to JM?

So when he(Jmart) quit training/riding at the farm and seeing that RC is all over savatgy's beard means that he's (Jmart) gunna go to RCH? I just don't see it happening

So now that Yamaha if catering to Coop so much, does that give JMart the extra fire to win a third 250 outdoor title?

I wonder if RCH will even be around next year, has RC confirmed his yet ? I know Cary was ready to throw in the towel, he was very "over it" earlier this year.

Obviously this didn't eventuate, but wasn't there a rumour that they were close to parting ways at the end of last season as well as they weren't happy with the Suzuki support?

If RCH were to switch brands it would have to be either Honda or Kawasaki right? KTM and Yamaha already have second 450 teams. Unless JGR go Suzuki and RCH go Yamaha? Maybe Yamaha works a deal to keep both of their guys on blue?

On a different note. I seem to remember Colt Nichols saying hes staying with Rock River next year, is that true or am I losing it?

Maybe you don't, but Matthes is usually right. People here said the same thing about this time the last two years when Roczen to RCH and Tomac to Kawi were done deals.

ya, pretty sure Jeremy was already in talks with other teams/manufacturers and Webb was the one left by default. Martin will land at either Factory Honda or Yoshimura Suzuki.

I don't remember hearing that from Nichols. My best guess is he replaces JMart or Coop at Star

I think JGR is off blue as Coop goes to the factory truck.
While I understand the frustration from JGR, I can't find the advantage of switching brands other than direct factory support. In which case I find hard to see which brand is willing outside of Suzuki or Kawi.

Good move for RCH, the guy is talented, like others have said above he will be better on a 450

As for RCH switching brands I highly doubt it. But then I think I said that once about ET going from Honda. lol

I thought Carmichael was out after this season and Hart won't be far behind him, working with Roczen really takes it's toll......

All I know is Matthes gets pretty solid info and doesn't mince his words.

Only have to take into account how sketchy 99% of the deals are in the sport, until a guy is signed and delivered anything is possible.

I guess I just noticed that he pulled stakes from the farm during the outdoors last year, built a private sx track in Minnesota for the fall, trained with Johnny O in Minnesota, all practice vids are from Millville last fall. Maybe the table has turned but I was under the impression that he was not happy with something. But either way he is a single digit number with the ability to turn any ride into a winning bike.
