A 2012 ktm 250 sxf with factory connection suspension, and fmf exhaust for $1000? That seems crazy. I don't want it because it's a 4 stroke but thought I would post it.

Take fire proof gloves or a baseball bat, so when they try and rob you atleast you can fight them off.

Do not touch it with a ten foot pole. It is either stolen or someone wants to steal $1000.00 cash from you when you meet them. Report it to the police as suspicious and do not risk your safety. If it seems too good to be true it probably is.

I wasn't interested in it any way, I wouldn't buy a 4 stroke no matter how cheap it was.

Well if it is not a scam, and if it doesn't have tons of hours on the engine than u will be getting a hell of a deal, there is easily more than $1000 in parts on that bike. Good luck

Had a similar "deal" on a local Facebook sale/trade page. A 42 year old employee of an Apple store had a very nice 250sx for $1500. People were falling over themselves trying to buy it. I looked at the guys profile page..... and he listened to an awful lot of gangsta rap for a bespectacled 42 year old white guy lol. Plus, all his Facebook friends were wheelieboyz types and fat black chick's lol. Needless to say somebody called him out and the deal dried up. Somebody is getting ready to get jacked up.

Not interested in it just because its a 4 stroke? Come on man. Think bigger picture. IF and its a big IF its really for sale for that price and isn't stolen you could at least make a few bucks to put on your 2 stroke. Don't get blinded by something just because "you" wouldn't ride it. Money is money either way.

Looks like complete scam to me but who knows. Good luck to the guy that said he inquired about it.

The add it self seems legit. Not the usual smash and grab and put up for sale. May just be true. Although it seems crazy cheap. Maybe a typo?

The ad was posted 3 days ago...at that price the seller would have cash in his hand in under two hours. If that bike was ever actually for sale it is long gone...

Like a poster above me said, it doesnt seem like the typical "send your bank account numbers to me" type of deal.

There is a military base right near there, and a lot of military guys will buy a bike, ride it for a while, and then get deployed so they have to sell it quick.

Id at least call the guy and try to judge the situation first. Shoot, Im gonna give him a call.

Most likely not a legit deal but it could be a pissed off wife.

Or just a joke on a friend. One time I posted my buddy's truck on Craigslist for a price that was on the low side of realistic. I didn't know it at the time but he was at home with a sick child and waiting on the doctor to call but instead he kept getting a lot of Joe's interested in his truck. I felt kinda like a dick but kinda like the prank was even better because he had no choice but to talk to CL people.

Thats what i was thinking. Typical army guy first time gettting a real paycheck in his life. watdches the x games and thinks i can do that. The closest track to that area is Hog Heaven which is pretty big and sandy not ideal for a noob.

It's obviously a scam but if it was legit and you still wouldn't buy a '12 KTM for a grand because it's a 4 stroke then your not too bright and no one thinks your loyalty to smokers is cool. Flip it for 4 grand....

I do realize it could be beneficial to flip this bike. But I am beyond broke. I would have to sell my bike just to buy this one. Hope this bike isn't ragged out. Sell it, and find another 2 stroke. So it's just to much hastle. And if any of the deals fall through I could be left with no bike, or buying one that isn't as good as the one I have now. I have a 2005 yz125, and with the money I would gain I would just buy a newer one. So the gain isn't very much

Dear god, this is going to sound terrible but how can you ride and keep a bike if you don't even have a cool G just laying around? If I don't have a hefty chunk of change in the bank I won't ride....

I don't think it's stolen, it's either legit, or more likely a prank. The garage(I'm assuming) has sheetrock and baseboard molding, not something the typical thief would reside in.

My bike has been good to me, as in the only big repair it has needed is fork seals. And when I did it I did it right with SKF fork seals, which are $80. It took a while to save and get done. I ride about once a month, it costs me $20, $15 track fee and $5 in gas. But my next race is in October I'm going to probably need a rebuild, chain, sprocket, sliders, grips (Renthal Kevlar of course) and a rear tire by then, + the money to pay to race. That is going to be a stretch haha but I will figure it out. And yes I do regular maintenace also, trans oil, spark plugs, air filter, checking all bolts, and replacing bearings when they are needed. So my bike is not ragged, it just doesn't have a lot of extras. I have also bought a truck recently and put gas in it, and buy things for it including a new set of tires. I do all this on about $75 a week. And still be able to go out to eat with friends.

Right on man.... My point was that if you don't have a grand to pop on a good deal when the come by, that means you don't have a 'rainy day fund' for a blown tranny in the pickup, medical bills when you need a 750 dollar MRI (trust me), and so on. If my oh shit money isn't there I won't race.

I totally get where u r coming from, I do have money set aside for that. That is where my $500 tires came from. As far as big break downs for my truck I'm not worried, it's a toyota 22re with a 5 speed. It is basically indestructible. So if break downs come it's most likely going to be small. Maybe battery or something like that. And medical I'm only 19 I'm still under parents. If the bike has a big break down it just has to sit for a month or so.
