The 2015 Yamaha YZ restyle plastics look slightly different than UFO's restyle
Kit, anyone know? I don't know when yamaha will release their plastic as spare parts, maybe fall?

No, The radiator shrouds bolt to the original gas tank like the UFO kit, But the airbox, side panels & rear fender are completely re-designed and nothing like the UFO kit

Nope. Different. I'm waiting because I am pretty sure it will be way cheaper to buy when it does get released. The ufo stuff is insane expensive

If the air box is different, I wonder if the subframe changed?

Subframe is the same. Airboot too. Only the airbox and plastics changed.

The UFO kit will be way more than the OEM yamaha stuff.

Not to mention the OEM stuff fits way better and has the spacers.

Just change out the airbox and get the rest of the OEM plastic and you are good to go.

Where were you able to buy the '15 airbox and sidepanels?

I'd like to do this upgrade also, not a big fan of the UFO restyle.

I would too! That stuff is expensive might as well use it if you got it.

With the new plastics fitting the the older Yamahas I can see a lot of guys going to this setup.

Excited to see what yours looks like all done up.

I looked at the part numbers and the seat and subframe are different numbers - seat might just be because of the cover but the subframe has a new number that looks to go with the new airbox and side panel numbers - tabs are probably different

Different part number, but same part for the subframe.

The seat cover is what I think is different.

Almost.

There are a couple other little things people may notice but for the most part you wouldnt be able to tell.

Where did you find the air box in the USA? I can't find one?

Got an airbox from partshark last week

Try a local Yamaha dealer.

I like ufo kit better. The radiator shrouds are better. They are slightly tapered and don't catch your boot in corners.

I just sold everything you needed for $215 except the front fender.

You can get entire ufo kit for cheaper and don't need to swap airbox. But new airbox looks good.

This is the bike that my parts when on after I sold them.

#11 is a gas line clamp.

#14 is the entire airbox.

I saw that Cycra is just about to release their kit that makes the older YZ look like the new style.
