The MX2 will start their first moto and one hour later Cairoli will be lapped by a certain Kawasaki rider. Oh boy, this is gonna be gud. I need some pizza or macaroni to make it even better.

I don't know who's gonna win; but, I know it's going to be good.

MX1 should have a field like Supercross...I'm thinking we could have more than a few people winning motos this season.

Stoked!

I'm just excited something like this is actually happening. I was looking forward to Herlings coming over and racing a MX race until the injury hit him.

I don't particularly care who wins. Just want to see some good racing. RV is the beastliest of beasts the US has so if anyone can be Cairoli, I'd say it's him. I just hope it's close the whole season.

Personally I would expect RV to win round 1 by a healthy margin. The Qatar track has never been more than a poor outdoor SX track in a car park. RV should be a way better SX rider than AC so him winning won't be a surprise. AC is also very very good at getting consistent results when he can't win and capitalizing when he can on the tracks he loves. I think the championship will be close, but round one should go to RV..

Or you could just pay the colossal and life-altering $6-7 fee for a seamless web stream on mxgp-tv.com?

I think it's
A: Awesome the he's racing over there.
B: So many U.S. moto fans are hyped to see the G.P.'s now. Can't recall this happening in a long time. Stoked.

I look forward to the excuses made by the RV fanboys if he doesn't win (Outsider, Zook, etc...).

I'm rooting for him, but watching those guys squirm when he loses makes this a win-win situation for me!

Thanks for the link, I've been using a similar service to watch SX.

I was only going to watch the first one and depend on Slick Nick for the rest, but I forget to cancel before they billed me for the whole year. Oh well. :^)

I love Ryan Villopoto. And I think the GPs are going to be great to watch, an see how the american riders stack up against the euros on their home tracks.. But I don't see how everyone thinks he is going to win so easy.. Confidence is one thing, but arrogance against the euro riders is just wrong.. We are a small community, the MX family, lets all just agree this is gonna be one hell of a season to watch.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for the start of a GP season (I follow both GP and AMA races closely). The only time I get this excited for an MX race is the MXDN or a title decider. Bar injury, whatever happens we're almost guaranteed to see something spectacular! I want some close battles between AC and RV but even if Ryan disappears every moto all year long, or vice versa with Tony (both scenarios very unlikely imo) - that in its own right will still be something we've never seen happen before to either rider. And then you have the other super talented front runners like Paulin and Desalle etc. It's the perfect storm.

As I said the only thing that can wreck it all is an injury, so fingers crossed.

It pains me because I feel sick even giving a penny to Luongo. I have a ton of respect for the MXGP riders but almost none for how the series is run and paid out. But even with that said I'm willing to pay the small fee in order to watch an all new battle none of us have seen before.

I am sure Gibby is just reeling in anticipation of that day, Scottie has already started pounding Redbull's by the case trying to get prepared for all the clicking that will ensue directly after the 1st MX1 motos. Maybe ML512 will jump on board and give OC a hand policing the area up that day.

I've certainly never looked forward to a season so much. Really not long to wait now. Anything could happen, can't wait to see how it pans out

RV or Paulin will win the first round IMO. Tony is fast at the first round but I feel his best rounds will be in the weeks to come. For the championship I will pick AC222. I will be cheering AC222 on !!! Lets goo!!!!
2/23/2015 9:54am
... someone will win, and someone will lose. But some people will find the most exciting part will be to come on here, start threads and continually post to everyone how they were right and knew it!

I just hope for a great championship fight between two amazing moto racers regardless of who wins. As the post's here on who's going to dominate who do not reflect their own personal beliefs on the situation whatsoever.

Bring on the MXGP's.....

I'm really looking forward to it..I'm not naive enough to think RV is going to dominate every round. I see him taking some 2nd's , 3rd's and maybe a couple bad moto's. He's obviously my favorite to win it.....but guys like AC CD25 . KS22 , GP21 and a few others....are no slouches. I think when the race heads to a sand track , AC222 is going to put on a clinic. On the good " Dirt " type tracks.....I see RV doing the same.

It's going to be a great season and really cool to watch how they play out , all the while watching how our SX and MX series goes. Just gonna be a great year.

I will not pay that cocksucker one red cent, even though I'd love to see some of the racing.
