The dudes got alotta work to do as a commentator. Bailey is to the point, insightful, amazing. My boy is just stammering and kinda just rambling. Weege asked him about the riders getting fatigued 20 mins. into the moto and he said something about the fans being behind Dungey cause he was in 2nd- huh? Just had to get that out.

I like emig he does a great job.....a little more colorful than bailey, bailey is a lot more insightful but lacks the excitement emig shows on the mic the both of them together would be awesome!!

Seemed fine during the webcast, then live TV and click. Somebody flipped a switch in his head.

I think they (Weege, Emig, Bailey) do a great job.

But who on earth is this guy in the live audio webcast? (not Buydos or Rodney). He sounds like a bad WWF announcer. Wow - over the top annoying. Tone it down about 50 notches please. I have to turn the volume down when he's screaming and trying to make another off-key analogy.

Probably because of the dumbass NBC directors telling them what to say in their earpieces.

I haven't minded Emig but to me he started to struggle and get locked up about halfway through the SX season. I like Bailey but after years of listening to the SX Webcast I'd take Weege and Holley any day of the week.

I like Emig. He's for sure come a long way since his stuttering through his podium speech days. DB however has always been my favorite but I agree with chili that it would be awesome to have Jim Holley in the booth with Weege. at least every once in awhile. Hollywood is an awesome color guy and he and Weege are great together.

Emig is fine. He's come a long way considering he had a speech impediment when he was younger.

I was told that emig was always talking in terms that the "general public" couldn't understand. I.E. talking about bike set ups and other stuff that was over the viewers head. Apperently speed told him to dumb it down and be more enthusiastic. Thus giving the new Emig

Emig is the man! Sure he rambles a little bit but his good rider insight outweighs the bad. They only thing that bugs me about him is that he says "OK" every other word. Plus...didn't he get in to a little bit of trouble back in the day for smokin a little weed now and then? He is probably just super high....could explain the random rambling...

A ton of pressure doing live TV, folks. We had a race LIVE on freaking NBC! Can we just appreciate that for at least a day.

+1 I was just noting that the stammering didn't begin until the live TV broadcast. I dig his commentating the most, actually, in spite of his flaws.

The only dumbass is you. Get informed or STF up. You really think some NBC guy who knows nothing about motocross is going to tell Emig what to say? All they do is tell them when to go to commercial or a feature. Emig, Bailey, RC or whoever are the "expert" commentators. The NBC producer, not director, is the one who would talk to them, and they don't tell them what to say. Lighten up, Francis.

Emig has come a long way, and he works very hard. He doesn't phone it in like some people do.

Hey Emig,

Can you stop saying, "Okay" after every third or fourth word?

Okay?

I get so tired of all the copycat people in mx. One person says something and everyone starts using it. "He's on fire" comes to mind.
