If McGrath and Emig call it a quad, nothing anybody says here on the board is going to dispute it. Sorry bro.

Reality of it is, it doesn't matter who calls it a quad, we all ride here, deep down we know it's a triple. I believe it's just to spice things up for the excitement.

It's a quad because if it was 4 singles it would be the same length. There.

No, but a double is a table top with the center taken out of it.

No, it's only the little table tops in supercross rhythms used for step on and offs.

In a sense it actually is. Considering you can jump in and out of it.

Then it's a quad.
End of discussion.

For all the naysayers, what is a tabletop?

Answer: It's a double with dirt in the middle.

Okay, so what do you call jumping a single, table top, single in one jump? You can't call it a triple, because it's not a single in the middle, it's a table top. Should we say single-table-single. No, I refuse. It should be illegal to describe something with such an exhausting phrase.

So is a table top a single? Or, a tabletop?

Because if it is going to be called a triple, then we must assume the tabletop is a single.

I'm just debating for the heck of it.

I personally think this debate is a waste of time.

To boil this all down you either see it the way MC, JE, JS and AC see it (like me and a few others). Or you see it the way your messed up thinking sees it.

Yup. I have no problem with them using their logic, I just want them to know that their logic is wrong EvilLaughing

ugh, had to join to correct you slow folks. The number of safe places to land is what determines what type of jump it is. A tabletop has two, on the flat or on the downside, therefore it is two. Therefore, a single over a table to another single is a quad. Now you can delete this thread now that I have solved your issue.

Clearly it's a Quad.

Stepping onto a table is a double and jumping over to the back side is the triple.

But yeah, It's just jump combo semantics... who really cares.

I am not buying it was actually mc n the booth.... Calling a triple a quad and constantly asking fro for race advice isn't the mc I remember....

It's not a double with dirt in the middle. Double meaning two, not one. The idea of a tabletop being a double is ridiculous. Doubles are doubles because of the two mounds of dirt not because of where you can land.

I seriously think they were saying quad as often as they could and laughing their asses off under their microphones. Regardless of if it was a quad or not, I think "quad" has become a game to them (not far from talking about a 'semi'). They know the internet was abuzz last time about all of the quad talk. Game on.
