Where does everyone think he will end up next year? Does he have a 2 year deal with geico or a 1 year deal? If he does win this title hes getting bumped up to the 450s. I can see suzuki giving him a ride because he did win a championship and james having some influence with the team.

I don't think he gets bumped if he wins the title. Pretty sure he can ride 1 more year and defend. I hope he does however get on the 450 soon.

Hes raced more then 3 seasons of 250 supercross. If you win a 250 title in your 3rd season or beyond you get bumped up regardless of how many points youve earned in those seasons.

He'll have to move up.

He wanted to move up this year, that whole sickness deal last year killed him for a ride. A championship with his size in the 250 has got to put him into at least a JGR ride if not better IMHO

his first attempt in 450 wasnt that impressive
I think he has matured a lot since then and he has confidence on his side now. Not to say that he won't loose all that once he starts getting 5th-10th places in the 450's.

agree , confidence can make a big difference ...but next year Webb,Martin will move up too , Musquin is in there so its only getting tougher to get a good result in 450 class

His only 450 SX race was two years ago, and Barcia took him out. Not really fair to make a judgment based on that. He did pretty well on a 450 outdoors, and that was a few years ago as well.

not talking about his only 450 SX race , he had a season in 450 MX too in 2014 where he ended 16th overall
But when he takes that SX title , who knows ....

He's shown what he can do on a 450.. Which includes multiple top 10 overalls when no one expected it of him, and a 4th o/a at Budds 2013. Go look at the list of the elite factory guys that he's beaten. Malcolm deserves a top level factory ride, he's better than a lot of those guys filling those rides right now and he's one of the most likeable guys out there for the fans.

Exactly what Cam said here.

If Malcolm can wrap this title up and then have a solid season outdoors....hopefully inside the top 5 - 10th o/a at the end of the season....he deserves to be on great team and getting a big fat paycheck along with it. Malcolm is coming into his own and i personally can not wait to see what he can do with a full healthy season on a good 450!

The Malcolm we are seeing now, is not the one from last few years. He has came along way.

Is Malcom confirmed for outdoors? I thought he was SX only.
Last year he was SX only, this year he's doing SX and MX for Geico.

Mookie has done very good on the 450 in the past. And will be a good hire for any 450 team next year.

how come he ended up without a team if he was that good on a 450 ? he was 16th overall , explain how good that is for any top team with the current line up in 450 class ...

Mookie will be on a red 450F. Maybe takes Bogle's place or even HRC.
