If MM25 wins the title

Edited Date/Time 8/20/2015 3:49pm
Will he become the oldest 125/250 champ? How about the longest gap between Championships? Would be 6 yrs for MM. Any 125/250 champ stay in the same class for 8 straight years ? RV and MM are a year apart. One is retired and the other still on a 250.

I had not realised the bit about him and RV. I guess he will have a shorter career on a big bike.

yeah being a (possibly) 4x 250 champ must be a big disappointment for a 25 year old. he should have gone to college after all.

No, it must be better to rush your carrer and end it at 26 (US logic)

As long as you have the $$ in the bank to retire at 26 who cares. You won your titles and now have 50 years to do whatever the hell you want.

What's Swedish logic? Take fill-in rides when you can and run around in 14th?

It took Jeff Ward seven years in the 125 class to win the championship. I do not recall if he defended his title the following year.

Why is it a big deal to be old in the 250 class outdoor? A rider can run a 250 outdoor their entire career if they want, and if the team they ride for wants. personally, I think they should be able to ride the 250 in sx and MX as long as they want....some guys ride the smaller bike better than the 450.

MM has plenty of time left. Joe Louis was 75 years old when he fought Rocky Marciano.
"Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their ass. That's their one, that's their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano. Let me tell you something once and for all. Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't shit."
