Australia don't have the strongest team with Price doing Dakar and Strang having visa issues but they should go ok.

I'm here right now... it's crazy. The tests on days 4,5 and 6 will test the riders big time, especially if it continues to rain like it currently is. What an amazing event.

Opening ceremonies on Saturday. Downtown Kosice is beautiful.

Kailub en route to taking the overall win today. He was hauling ass on the little 250.

USA leads ISDE overall after day one, great start as we have never been in this position.
Day One – USA Take World Trophy Team lead

At the end of the first day of competition at the ninetieth edition of the FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Kosice, Slovakia the USA have taken the early lead in the World Trophy team competition. Helped by an outright winning performance by Kailub Russell - KTM the six rider team that also features Thad Duvall - Husqvarna, Mike Brown - Husqvarna, Taylor Robert - KTM, Ryan Sipes - Husqvarna and Gary Sutherlin - KTM placed one-minute and fourteen seconds ahead of Australia. France – last year’s World Trophy team winners – placed third after Mathias Bellino – Husqvarna was hit with a one-minute penalty having accidentally started his bike prematurely on the start ramp

Yep Picked up by the Factory Red Bull KTM Rally team on a two year deal, just finished the Atacama Rally in 10th position after coping a ton of speeding penalties on stage two, would have been sitting third after stage two if not for the penalties.

He was meant to jump pretty much straight from the race that just finished into another event, but I am pretty sure that was cancelled.

Team Aus looking strong for sure, and Aussie's leading the Junior and Women's Trophy classes as well. Smile

Bummed for Layne Michael on the U.S. junior team. Broken wrist on the first day is just brutal. Hopefully Steward can heal up enough to finish out the week.

Sipes is killing it! I can't believe how well he's doing. He's really stepped it up this year, and showing the world his potential.

How can you not be behind Sipes, after the depressing video series from last year... maybe this enduro format is a better fit for him? It's sure as hell an ideal format for Utah Local Josh Knight, this kid ripped last year and won the Idaho ISDE qualifier.

Josh rips everywhere! Enduro, Hare and Hound, Hare Scrambles...he's no slouch on a motocross track either. And even better is that he is the most humble, soft spoken, polite, gracious, and respectful kid you'll ever meet.

He's not racing ISDE the next two or three years though. But he'll be back and better than ever.

I wish his Dad was going still, best coverage of the event comes from him and he somehow finds time to work a pit too!

Mikes ride/race reports are legendary.

His coverage of ISDE puts all the media to shame.

Julio, aka Rodney whooped my ass. I finished 6th oa in the 125 class and was one of the highest class finishing americans until Rodney decided to gas it up. good times and hope the U.S can continue to be competitive, 8 seconds outta first is the best we've ever been!!
