At least I think I did. Some guy passed me in the press box in Vegas and said "Love the shows Matthes..." and sounded like the Grendel. Then I turned around and he was gone...

Like a vampire or something, he just faded into the mess of flat bills, tattoos, black socks and Monster cans.

I too had a brief encounter with the essence of Grendel in a press box a few years back. It was like being in the presence of Keyser Soze. I turned to see if it was truly him, and like that... he's gone.
