Man i remember the hype surrounding 2005 and i booked a flight to California and was at A1. Well the hype turned into MUDBOG. Lets hope this weekend isn't the same. Although i will have to say i will never forget Reed and RC busting out those triples in the pouring rain and mud in there heat race in crap we couldn't walk around in much less ride!

I remember RC jumping the triple first lap in the mud, insane!

That track layout was pretty cool, they should try that layout again. On a dry track.


Same with RC's daytona layout when it was muddy.

That looks like the layer of road base that is placed over the plywood but under the actual track dirt. Doesn't matter if the base gets wet- it's there for drainage.
They will probably truck the dirt in tomorrow as it's not supposed to rain after tonight.

I can't wait for that first practice session...

Buy inexpensive rain gear...20 bucks.

Decent pair of gortex boots...80 bucks.

Watching RC play the role of animal on a muddy triple out of a corner.....priceless! Smile



That was one of the most memorable races I've been to.

I was there too. That tiny bastard couldn't pick up his bike! There was also a 250 LEFT IN THE TRACK where it got stuck. Just an incredible sight to see.

I was there for that as well. I remember the announcer stating he thinks KW is in the lead. It was a bitch trying to figure out where everyone was and who was on the lead lap. RC was a mad man that night but A1 was one of the only races that was never meant to be for RC. I still think back to that race all the time when I think about what it must be like to just not give a fck and hold it wide open. No sane human being could ever ride a supercross track in the condition it was in that night that fast. Ever!! It was one of those things you just had to be there to believe it. I remember watching it later on TV and thinking TV did not do what he was doing any justice. It was still cool to watch so I'll post it.

How funny is it when RC rides backwards down the track to turnaround before falling again, imagine what the riders coming the right way past him were thinking!

Dam he is going so fast in the mud i could have sworne he just went past me facing the wrong way!

On another note, i wonder why he was not black flagged for riding down over half a straight in the wrong direction, i cant even ride that far backwards around a track on MX V ATV without being stopped hehe.
