Bike is soo sweet! How does it handle compared to a standard yz250? Compared to the four stroke version? Thoughts?

nice looking bike, have you ridden it ? does the 95 cylinder make much of a difference? ive been considering this kind of build myself, as i rode a 96 cr125 which was fast then had a few of the later ones which were a bit average

Love the RM-Z 250 Crush, so easy to ride, though have not done much lately, sidelined this weekend missed last weekend while at Phillip Island, hopefully back on next weekend.

I don't care what anyone says, riding a 250F is so much fun, for the average punter like myself you feel like you are actually riding the thing, clicking up and down through the gear box lap after lap Smile

I will have to post a pic of a PW80 I bought Crush, $20.
The bloke I got if from said it only needed a set of rings, yeah right. Jumped off the roof onto the kickstarter, no movement. Laughing
Me and my 12yr old son will play around with it and see what happens, great learning experience for him. Smile

hehehehehe...

Well, the good thing is, you're not in it for much! Good bikes tho. Once it's up and running you'll pretty much never have to touch it again Jock. My mate had one, bloody hell - die bike. It woudn't!

Crush,

Not doing it for the money, just a bit of fun and too let my young fella learn a bit. Possibly give it to my sisters kids when finished. Smile
Great little bikes. PW50 and 80's hold their value. I bought my son a used PW80 early 2010 for $1500, sold it in late 2012 for the same price.

Not a rebuild - but cosmetic changes from this:

To now this:

- Cycra Powerflow kit (blue), Cycra front disc cover, white Cycra number plates, WC skid plate, Renthal bars.

yes my son and i have both rode the bike. it runs real good. i have had several cr125s from 93 -99. and i just remember the 95 ran the best. we have a real nice 99 we take as a back up bike . the meat of the power in the 95 has a broader range more lo end and signs off a bit sooner than the 99. but way more user friendly power. i used the 95 cylinder, power valve linkage and governor. you have to countersink the power valve covers to clear the radiator hose. the head pipe has to be sliced and angled to fit the frame mounts. and i used a exhaust flange from a 03 cr125. it has rubber seal. chucked it up in a lathe cut a groove right behind the original one then cut off the end. 03 cr125 carb and an 01 cr125 intake manifold with stock carbon fiber reeds.

pipe re-welded

the trusty 99 cr125

and a 98 yz400f i did last winter and ride it now.
