It was for PR purposes, IMO. The odds of Stew being able to ride because of a letter like that are pretty much non-existent.

shame on everyone envolved including stewart. but imo, he should be out their. this sport in a sence is horrible n could careless about any of the riders. its all about the $$$.

The letter pretty much said they didn't appreciate being left out of the loop...I believe that was the point they were making.

On Saturday, Davey was still pissed...as a fan...that he was looking at James in street clothes while everyone-else was practicing...I saw and heard it myself. Any of you that think they don't care?

the AMA and MXSports have nothing to do with a governing bodies rule for an infraction. The AMA and MXSports are in this for the money, not to see James race. WADA would have stepped in and made the ruling longer if FIM said oh just give him 4 races. I am sure that the AMA and MXSports would have suggested a very short ruling.

There is no reason for the FIM to ask for the input of the AMA or MXSports on this matter.

Do you think that the AMA letter was anything but a publicity stunt? They said it was leaked, but who leaked it? Do you think GuyB or Scottie snuck into the AMA head quarter and wen through all their filing cabinets looking for this?
