Sunday afternoon I'm on the gate for my second 50 plus Moto, we were at Briarcliff Motocross Park in Ohio and, we were combined/ staggerstart with the 40 plus "kids",,,, Anyway, dude shows up behind me - tells me to back my CRF 2 fiddy out of the rut and, as I do, The Tim Ferry spends the next 2-3 minutes meticulously digging out my rut and packing my gate, as only a pro could. Of course, my luck, NOBODY (!!!??) had even a camera phone to document the action, but, i tells ya, it happened and, it blew me away. Totally made this old sailor's day/week/decade. Thank you, so much, Red Dog, for taking the time and for being so kind. * That boy of his, Evan, watch that kid....Timmy is probably now in California, helping coach Trey Canard, but again, I wanted to emphasize that his wacky gesture reminded me how very much I love this silly, filthy, wonderful sport and, the many thousands of fantastic brothers and sisters that participate with us.....Group hug,
**Timmy didn't notice my race-pants zipper was busted, thank God, but he did issue a reprimand for only 35 hours on my '14 CRF AND, shake his head in disgust, that my rear - tire was on backwards (shhhh).
