Racer X has learned from multiple sources that a decision has been reached in the James Stewart case with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the FIM. This case dates back to an anti-doping test at the Seattle Supercross in April, which detected amphetamine in Stewart's system. In June, an FIM press release announced Stewart was provisionally suspended, which barred him from racing events with a direct FIM sanction.

We're hearing Stewart could be facing a period of ineligibility, which would bar him from competition not only in Monster Energy Supercross, but also the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship during that time.

I'm gonna make damn sure tomorrow is my day to start a new thread. I might even put a link to this thread so that others can find the link for the racerx article.

Yes, I am sure he will retire...at some point. Unless he is immortal, which even James has not figured out yet.

Can't say i blame him... walk away healthy with a nice little gear company. Good luck to James and all his future endeavors, he will be missed, (by me anyway)

Drug free for all, Why?

Because if its not illegal then everybody can have the same advantage.

This situation sorta reminds me of Blazing Saddles and the dealio with the sheriff, but that was a funny movie, this not so much..

I don't believe it's nearly as rampant, or out of control, or even as advantages in this sport as some do.

I love James but he's shown some immaturity over the years. I thought he was past that but failing to provide a TUE is just moronic. I'm so bummed but don't want to hear sh*t about WADA being too harsh. Rules are rules. Clear as fn day. This all could of been avoided. Let's be adults about this instead of acting like kids by pouting and blaming WADA. One of life's lessons learned the hard way. James, you are not above the rules.

With that being said, I don't think he retires if it is 1 year. Like he won't be fast 1 year from now? It'll give him time to really heal his body and mind. Since he could walk, he's been racing or trying to heal so he could race. He doesn't exactly live modestly either. Fanboys relax, not saying he's financially irresponsible but the guy balls out. I bet he comes out guns a blazing come 2016.

I agree with ChrisB10 in that I don't see him retiring if he has to sit out a year. Eighteen months to two years...yeah, but not just a year. I think James can take the year to totally heal up from the small injuries he's had over the last few years, and come back in 2016 as fast or even faster than he could have been this season.
