Hey guys, I saw this a few weeks ago on TWMX then a buddy of mine told me about it. When I looked into it, sounds like football players and Olympic athletes are using them. Does anyone have more info about benefits or drawbacks?

I lost about 1/2 my foot and they put into a HBO chamber for 2 hours a day 5 days a week for 34 treatments that help promote blood flow and healing and it seemed to do the job.

They chambers basically pump pure oxygen into your system, where your body absorbs it as (not possitive on which one) white(??) Blod cells. So basically it replinishes them and helps you heal or recover faster.

Drawbacks other than being a giant acrylic bomb not too many Hahaha
with the oxy being an accelerant sparks can make them explode.

They were very picky about special gowns with no other clothes and no deodorant, after shave or hair oils/gels. They had a tech monitoring everything and was told if you needed to get out it would 10 minutes no matter what the issues.

Yeah, the gowns are 100% cotton and no chemicals cause of static electricity and the oxy thing.
One thing about them is if you can't clear your ears the pressure can damage Your ears cause sinus issues headaches things like that. You can definitely come out of them quick if something goes wrong or doesn't feel right. My uncle was in one and started to get claustrophobic so he was taken out with the emergency button and it was around 5 minutes.
They are pretty cool though, the dr that I heard about them through got into them after his wife had a stroke causing issues with speach and walking from it and you could never tell now 5 years later.

There is a big difference between Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and "Mild" Hyperbaric Therapy (MBOT).
1. The video does not show or tell us what type of chamber is being used.
2. Chiropractors ARE NOT Medical Doctors and there was no reference to anyone being certified in Hyperbaric Medical Technology. As such are not in the position to run let alone monitor an HBOT unit.

The following link does a great job of explaining the difference between the two.

Because of the heavy marketing that was done in the moto community and after hearing from team managers and riders about some of the unsubstantiated claims being made. The Asterisk Mobile Medical Center is working to put out a position paper to help better inform the moto community of the current research that is out on both the HBOT and MBOT.

Looks can be very deceiving. The two chambers below are considered MBOT's. To the average joe walking into a training facility or wellness center and upon hearing some slick marketing gimmick would be ready to open that wallet up. But remember sitting in that fancy sleeping bag is no different than sitting in a chair sucking on an bike pump.

This treatment is pretty much standard for road racers with broken bones over here in Europe. Expensive but dramatically shortens recovery times.

I didnt watch the video, my phone wouldn't let me. But that type or any inflatable chamber is mild and very low amounts of pressure. The ones that are acrylic tubes with caps are the high pressure one's which I was referring too, and are a significant amount of $$ more. Guess I should have mentioned it. The hp one looks like an acrylic time capsule for a person Hahaha

EddieC has basically summed up what I wanted to say but there is no confirmed literature that proves the benefits from the chambers actually having a positive response. My personal views about RTF are not much at the same time tbh from what I have seen and heard.

Well, he'll be sure to be using whatever is currently regarded as the best possible treatments.

Red Bulls Sports Medicines facilities, are quite mindboggly, from what I've seen.
