If you can get your hands on a factory modified tc 250 ignition for the 450, the engine is unreal with losing over 1lb with the 250 flywheel. I have one on mine and it's the best bike i've ridden. It's too bad the thing is such a pile of crap. It's actually broken again right now.

Dirthead1, sounds like maybe got a lemon? That engine has a reputation for being bulletproof in the off road community!

I don't know about them being bullet proof. I've een my fair share of broken ones. Once you start riding them hard, they really fall apart. These bikes have so many problems namely the parts are cheaply made.

I have a friend that was racing them and had to stop because they broke almost every race he entered on one.

Doesn't Husky make the WR150? I'm sure less moving parts would do Husky good.

Even so, Dan Smith used to race one in the desert and those bikes were solid. So did Terry Cunningham, Alessio Chiodi for that matter.

Wish I had factory support with this one. I've worked on this bike more than my last five Honda's combined.

That's actually too bad. Husky seems like a quality company, its a shame that their current bikes are as trouble-ridden as they are.

i have a 2008 TC450 and absolutely love it. I bought it as a leftover in the fall of '09 and it has been bulletproof. All I have done is keep the air filter clean and the oil fresh and I haven't had one problem. I haven't even checked valve clearance! I'm pretty sure the '08 and '09 are very similar where the 10 has KYB's on the front.

I have a '10 CR144 and IMHO the build quality is fantastic. I've never ridden one of their 4-strokes though, only read about them.
