To the Price of the Bikes ?

What would a Bike cost without all the extra expense ? or would they stay the same and just shift the money elsewhere ?

Most of the teams with mega rider contracts are also subsidized by deep pocket outside sponsors.

Good question, wasn't there always a rumor that $______ of every RM sold went to RC or something like that

I would say not much of a difference because they would put their marketing budget somewhere else.

Don`t tell me that we europeans pay for your mega contracts and contingency, cause bikes in Europe cost average $2000 more than it does in USA.

The top riders in Europe don't have big contracts and earn contingency?

Last video I saw of Cairolli he was living pretty well....

You make a huge assumpsion that the power that fuels pro MX still comes from the factorys, just look at the logos to see it has shifted to energy drink companies.

It's more on the gear side of things. Every free helmet, boot, gogles, pants, jersey, etc that the pro's get plus the money paid to them to run the free gear gets added to the selling price. The consumer pays for all of that.

Teams are not funded by bike sales. Teams are funded by the advertising dept of the company which is determined by the companies overall sales figures. The team manager makes a budget then submits it and then gets his share of the adversing money.

So no, a team price doesn't determine the price of the bikes.

ha, at least someone with business and economics understanding. Smile As if Nike based the cost of their shoes on Lebron's salary.
