I could've sworn Roczen switched back to spring forks during SX.

Thanks for that list though. Interesting to see!

Tomac did, after he won Daytona on air forks... Ken Roczen has been on KYB PSF1 air all SX season and now outdoors...

I'm updating the list... Attempting to do the top 40 from both classes.

...by that list it seems you should run a spring in 1 fork and air in the other...

Right on, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Was Stewart on air forks at one point in his few SX races?

He started with air, then both him and Baggett went to spring the same weekend... Considering the erratic amount of races he showed for, I can't remember which one it was off the top of my head.

It looked like Champion had revalved stock spring forks on his 450? I could be wrong though and ML512 would know. On a side note David Gassin's forks had a leak in his schrader valve during practice making his forks drop all the way to the lower part of the stroke. I was there for the fire drill where we tried to find where his spring rate was escaping too. Blush Screw those air forks.

He may have been on spring. I was going off memory from Supercross for a few of the back markers that I didn't look at closely enough during Hangtown.

Wow, would have liked to have seen a little more confidence in the AER48.

I take it that you're putting the 250 class SFF fork in the spring category?

Kenny said he wished he was on spring on DMXS but he had found a great setting with his air and that's what he had to use. He said, "I don't care what any rider says to a camera, every single rider wishes they were on spring."
Then he goes on Pulp and Mathes says I hear your on spring forks. And Kenny says," NOOO! Why is everyone saying that?" Lol He must of got a little talking to especially after the, i would think a team would want their rider happy comment.
He sure does look comfy on the air forks now.

If it has a spring, it's in the spring category... there's almost no one on that fork though.

Only the 16 FEs were released with them, so not many bikes out there would have them. The KTM/Husqvarna's are all on kit/works stuff... Shorty's air fork is much different than the AER as well...

I thought all the PC team and everyone who was sponsored by factory connection in the 250 class was running sff a-kit?

I heard both interviews as well. It just goes to show that you can't put much faith in what a paid rider is saying about his equipment. Only Chad seems to be able to be honest and not suffer the repurcusions.

Of the list... who has a choice?

For example... can the HRC guys switch to spring if they wanted to?

Finally got to the bottom of this. He did an interview where he said the springs were what he had preferred... and it kinda implied that he had changed, but he hadn't.

I agree, threads like this allow a lot of us who don't know about what technology works and what teams and pros are really using out there.
I would also like to know how many riders use some kind of steering stabilizers for outdoors?
