It seems not a lot of riders like/want to race a factory Honda, they had good success this year but lack a big sponsor, their production bikes arent liked by magazine shootouts because of their low HP, do you think Honda will either disband their factory effort or even stop producing MX bikes? They clearly dont want to produce mega HP bikes.

I ride Honda this year but am likely to go Green next year....anyone else doing the same? I am going Green because I like the look of new 2016 KXF450...well what I have seen thus far.

Note: please dont turn this into a frigging 2 stroke conversation, that is not the premis for this discussion

They want to win. The many, many changes they made in personnel this year show that.

How many people would notice that they were down on HP if the mags didn't tell them? Their race bikes look pretty good.

The bike looks great to ride. Maybe it's hard for them to figure out starts, but once they're actually moving it looks quite comfortable to ride. And Eli has been setting fastest laps on the thing all year.

Might think that but he will regret this decision. Or I'll eat my words.

They've had a really good season between Tomac, Canard, Seely and the whole Gieco team.

Over react much? Stop producing MX bikes? LoL. My next bike will probably be a 16 KTM, but that bike has everyone smoked.

Sorry, failed to mention Honda also won the MX1 qualifying race today in the Netherlands & it was on a real motocross track.

Honda will win both the Moto3 & MotoGP championships also. Personally, I enjoy watching Hondas get beat.

Trust me, if Honda wants to dominate, they can. History proves it. They have deep pockets. They don't need a major sponsor.

Wink

I don't think the red bike was Tomac's problem this year. He was very fast on it as were Canard and Seely.

Probably had more to do with money or wanting to be the only premeir rider on the team. Who knows what Honda's budget was going to be next year and they have two damn good riders already.

Unless he thinks the Kawasakis will pull third gear starts and we all know his starts didn't help him much this year. Smile

Yes. Honda sucks! They for sure need to make some changes. I mean when was the last time one of their riders won a race or even got on a podium.

I don't know for sure, but I'll bet if Honda isn't the best selling dirt bike in the world, they're very close. Why in the world would they stop selling them. Also, with HRC being so involved this year and Honda doing so well, it looks like they have all intention of continuing.

I'll buy my first 4T when Honda comes out with a 4 muffler model, it'll be twice as good as two.

for all those jumping to get a new KTM, why not just wait until KTM adds their WP air suspension on? That will be coming soon.

Personally, for $15K or whatever ppl are paying for those bikes, if they were just a bit more patient, they'd be getting so much more and an even lighter bike. That's what I would do if I were considering orange.

you could argue that Honda doesnt make a lot of money from the CRF range, and investing huge dollars to make them more competitive could be the thing that decides the future of them....now I say 'could' many times not 'would'

@kiwifan, keep your options open, the rmz 450 is one of the best 450s ive ever ridden, im not sure how tall u are, but the kawi is a very big bike, yea its got a great motor but handeling wise isnt close to a suzuki or ktm, I recently road a 15 rmz 450 with pr2 suspension and yosh pipe and remapped, it was probably the best 450 ive ever ridden
