In the replay it looked like RV's bike pulled and twisted his knee in a bad way. Glad he didn't get injured, but I don't know how.

The last thing you do when you are putting your foot on the peg coming out of a corner and heading to a jump face is take it back off. There is no thought to stuff like that for riders at that level.... It is all reflex reactions... It real time...it was probably 2/10th of a second till the foot got caught..and James had it back on the peg....

Stew picked his leg up so it wouldnt get centerpunched but RV still got the front wheel in there just good enough to catch it.

Looked like a possible torn knee to me until it released and then Stew triples into the next section.

You think he did that on purpose? Check out the Slo Mo Replay they showed at the end. RVs tire caught his boot just before he got on the peg...sucking his boot. up...then as RV goes down...the boot comes free...and it goes onto the peg. Scary...

When I first saw it on TV I rewound it a couple of times and it looked like JS7 kicked the crap out of RV. I am pullin for RV but I was laughin my ass off. But when they showed it in slo mo on the "pass of the race" after it was all over that is not what happened. You can clearly see James lift his leg and it get caught up.

It would of been sweet if it woulda been a kick though. But it wasn't.

That was a kick and I love it! You can tell by Stews body position and push off from the contact.

Watch the slow mo after the finish of the race. It was no kick. It's a miracle Stew didn't get hurt. RVs front tire pulled JS7s boot up into the forks and it spits out at the last second. As the OP said Stew is lucky. Then again maybe he did hurt his knee a bit. He got passed.

Those of you saying it was a kick... Please enlighten me as to how you think this looks anything like a kick. His foot is locked behind RV's fork.

I just dont see how your leg gets locked on to another rider and you still do a technical triple milliseconds later.

With Stewarts change of balance, Villopotos sequenced fall at the same time, I see a push off.

I could be wrong thats just my opinion.

Looking at the photo closely, I see Stews leg getting stuck and him then pushing off

That's what I thought too. Good for him. It looked like he kicked him right off him which was smart.

A fuckin' kick? I've heard it all. I think if I was gonna kick someone's front tire, I'd make damn sure I kicked it in FRONT of the fork. Look at the pic above. His toes are between the fork and tire. It was hung. Pretty much picked RVs front wheel off the ground.

I just watched the main again, I think it happened so fast Stewart probably didn't even realized what happened. It could have been ugly though.

Freakin morons In here don't pay any attention to any thing, or they're just drunk or high. Watch the slow motion replay before coming to a false drunkin' conclusion! Before Stewart could get his leg up onto the peg coming out of the corner, RV comes into him, then his leg gets sucked up into the tire. The only reason his foot popped loose, was because RV's wheel locked up (from JS's foot), turned, and caused enough of a gap to let it get free. Its that simple, no more, no less.

Thank you! I was reading through the comments here and just couldn't believe that no one had pointed out that the tire is spinning away from the forks. It's not uncommon to see a leg or arm get sucked into a rear wheel, but that is because the bike basically pulls it out. With the front, the tire is spinning toward the front (duhh) so it basically pushed Stew's leg out itself.
