Coolest little bike ever - Perfect for a 3yr old to learn to ride and to teach balance.

I like it. My son will be 3 in April. My plan is to get him a real bike with pedals. He's ripping around on his strider bike very well, holding his feet up and balancing. So, I'd think by April, he can try to incorporate pedaling. Once I see him pedaling without training wheels well enough, I'll think about a motorized bike.

Hard tail Ape Hanger deluxe. Junk. Get him a 12" OSET electric bike. It will pay dividends in the long run.

Went this same route with my now 4yo. The boys know the rules in this house, can't ride a peddle bike, no moto. Ultimately this young one went straight from a strider to a specialized hot rock. First ride gave it one push, peddled around for about 10 seconds, stopped and asked if we could go pick up his moto bike now. I about fell over, was too perfect.

Throttle control is interesting as well. His bigger brother had some issues with this no matter how I locked his throttle down. My youngest has been driving ride-on's since he was two and started drifting his mustang last summer. I'm not too worried with him, he already gets it. (This is coming across as a "look at my boy" comment. Not the intent.) My point being is there are some things they can do before hand to learn all aspects, balance, throttle control, not go wide open all the time. (not yet at least Smile )

hahahaa, that's funny that he wanted his moto bike after 10 seconds.

Those are super cool. Have never heard of that one before- agree better but $1200 more $... Although when my kid is ready for a $1500 bike it's be hard not to go with the ttr50 or xr50.

A brand new stock PW Yam sells for 1700 euro in France...
Dry

YCF is a french pit bike brand. They built their own factory in China to make sure they get the quality they want...
They build quite nice toys, for big boys too...

Got one for my twins back around Halloween when they turned 3. Since they were killing the balance bike, I figured id be a piece of cake. They both took to sitting in front of me and using the throttle and brake, but on their own and even with the speed switch set to slow(7mph), the acceleration from 0 to 7 is instant since it's electric and they struggled with controlling the initial take off. They also have a problem with the brake because the lever is full size for an adult and non adjustable so they can't reach it with their fingers

I figured since it's winter I'll work on them riding the pedal bike first and push the mini bike later this spring.
