Like you said, it's brand new. First long set of legit whoops. Give them a chance to make it better.

He really had to push in the other sections to make up the time. At least he didn't get bucked off the bike!

I'm sure Ryan and the team will be working on those kind of whoops just incase they reappear!

Put anyone else on that JGR Yamaha and it will be fine in the whoops. Its JAMES not the bike. He has always been a crasher. Nothing new here

Actually Rob Henricksen from RG3 is doing RD's stuff at KTM and has been doing Ryan's suspension since he turned pro at Suzuki...

Good Lord!

Different day
Different starting gate
Different track layout
Different dirt
Longer set of whoops
20 other guys at the gate

And we can go on and on!

Why isn't the same guy winning every week, they are all on the same bike week after week!

I was disappointed with Dungy's performance through the whoops ... he used to kill the whoop sections on his RM, however, Dungy, RG3, and KTM, are still developing baselines for this new bike. All the other factory teams have had years of development time.

I guess the question is, Is it going to take minor adjustments, or major re-engineering to get it fixed. They don't have the time for the latter.

The bike looked fine in the whoops. They are designed to be difficult. Unless any of you are named RV1 or CR22, He's faster then you ...In the Whoops so just stop. WP makes great suspension.

Not sure what race you were watching, but the race I was watching that JGR passed that KTM twice in the whoops like he was standing still...

Do you think RD s ktm suspension is better than his suzuki A kit from rg3?

No question it's still a work in progress, but I guess until he wins every race people will still question the KTM. He's 3rd in points 10 points out. Still in contention.

The question will be outdoors where we know he is capable of winning races frequently. If he is noticeably off the pace there, then things will get a little uncomfortable over at KTM. The really true test will be if he continues with the team after his contract is up or heads for greener pastures. So far I would say that it doesn't look to be working for him as well as the Suzuki did, but it is still too small of a sample. Outdoors will tell the tale.

DO I think you don't realize RD was not using "A Kit" suspension from RG3 on his Suzuki? RD had "Factory", "Works", or "Unattainable" what ever you want to call it, on his Suzuki.

BTW, the answer is "Yes"

Suzukis have always been good in the whoops. But honesty for a factory bike and racer . That KTM was just awful ,maybe worse.

I don't think Dungey's KTM was better through the whoops than Stewarts Yamaha. I know Stewart crashed, but that is what Stewart does. I do recall Stewart blitzing past Dungey on two occasions in the whoops. One in the heat race and one in the main.

I also don,t recall Dungey being a top guy in the whoops last year on the Suzuki either. He was definately slower than Stewart and Villopoto in LA last year in the whoop section. I think Stewart passed him twice there. Once before he crashed and then again after he crashed.
