Just got this PR...

For the first time in its 80-year history, Wheaties is offering American’s the chance to select which athlete will be featured on the iconic box… and motocross star, Ryan Dungey, is one of the nominees.

I thought your readers might be interested in learning how they can vote for their favorite sport to be pictured on the box:
· Visit MapMyFitness.com/wheatiesnext or download the MapMyFitness app
· Select and join the Wheaties NEXT Challenge
· Register for the Wheaties NEXT Challenge and select an athlete
· Once registered, participants can begin logging workouts
· Every workout logged (up to two workouts of 30 minutes or more can be logged each day) will count as one vote for the selected athlete
· At the end of the competition, the athlete with the most votes via workouts logged will be the next athlete to appear on the Wheaties box

Additionally, Wheaties will be making a donation based on the number of votes Ryan receives to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

@wheaties Might as well put @RyanDungey on the box. He only stands on one every weekend!

I wish it was strava. That would be better for me but I'll use mapmyfitness app when I walk the dog every night though and get the votes in that way!

I've realized I can upload my MTB rides from my Garmin to the mapmyfitness website too just like to do for strava. Just takes a second. I have just noticed though people are cheating. It's day one and people are obviously manually putting in that they've done 2 x 6 hr workouts. Leader board is a joke anyway. Oh well I'll do my part. Be pretty cool to see him on the box I reckon. Might be a long shot though.

I always pictured Dungey as more of a Shreaded Wheat kind of guy.

I can picture a smiling Andrew Short on a box of Lucky Charms.

Thought he was on the Wheaties Box back a few years ago or maybe I had one of those moments where I see the future...

Dungey doesn't strike me as a Wheaties kind of guy for some reason.

C'mon guys, let's make this happen! Getting a pro rider on a Wheaties box would be great mainstream recognition for the sport and a testament to what amazing athletes they are. And RD5 is the perfect candidate since he has that "All-American" vibe (plus the KTM goes well with the orange Wheaties box!). Here's my Photoshop rendition of how the finished product could look.
