The soil sure does look terrible, more rocky than usual, rough & rutted and soft.
I think was because of all of the rain this previous week up there...
Looks like maybe they may have added different soil on the top and its all soft and rutting up easily.
During practice it looked like an orange mountain clay base under the soft stuff.

I completely agree. Dirt Wurx should have gone to Seattle months ago to shut the rain off so the dirt would dry out.

Webb should remove that stupid breathe right so he can get some air and remember his sponsors.

It may be horrible but still no reason to cut the main events short on time! These guys are the best in the world they should be able to last 15 and 20 minutes plus 1 on this track, I get that's it's been raining but they should be prepared for everything

Matthes posted this earlier today. Dark wet dirt mixed with white lyme making this weird gray we see tonite.

Is the old belief that West coast is hard and slippery and East coast is soft and rutty thoroughly dispelled now?

Every West round this year has been a muddy mess saved from disaster by Dirt Wurx and the only slippery hard track was, I think, Toronto?

But yeah folks will still say, Christian Craig should have been on the West Coast because "he can't ride those East Coast style tracks..."

The track is fine! Sitting in front stands right now and it's a great layout. A few ruts just makes things interesting.

Here in the upper 200's. No idea why they cut the races down.

You're right. Why aren't they storing all the dirt in a controlled environment and only holding races in covered stadiums

You guys never watch Seattle SX before? It's always like that, but made a little worse by the rain. Get over it

Horrible track conditions, but it made for the best race of the year. I mean Tomac was ON FIRE. Jumping every triple rhythm section he could; including pulling the trigger on some new ones.

Dungey coming from last to 4th!

About the only thing I didn't see was Webb; what happened to him?

I thought for a second the cheers of the crowd was Tomac getting Webb back, but Tomac went down spectacularly.

I thought the racing was amazing! JimmyD almost got a podium Sad , but Aaron got his first SX win!

You guys don't know what you're talking about it was way better than I've ever seen it they had a lot of sand in it and for all the rain we had this week it was pretty amazing it was as good as it was there was no mud anywhere on the track the ruts were deep and it got a gnarly it was actually a man's track but I guess all you pussies just want some groom perfect thing every weekend. It just makes towmax ride luck even that more amazing if you had seen it in person you'd probably change your mind

I was wondering the same thing. No rain and they cut the racing short, what the hell. These are the best riders in the world, they can survive this track. If theyre worried about injuries cause of the track, well the riders should know when to back it down. And most of the tracks have been crappy this year. They need to go watch some tapes from 2000-2002 and recreate some of those tracks.

Complaining about the track is over played
And Ralph.

Also, I agree that the track tonight made for some great racing.

They could have run the full practice schedule they had it uncovered at noon it just would have taken a lot more maintenance by the crew but they could have actually done it

Can someone explain what the justification was for shortening the mains? The track was absolutely fucking fine, not as bad as a bunch of other tracks we've had these last few years. This sport is so fucking inconsistent.

Track looked great. No idea why mains were cut short. Plenty of passing opportunities.
