Spent a lot of money and nothing to show for it. No championships anywhere.

As a confirmed Honda-hater, I take this a rare opportunity to rub their noses in it!

Congrats to Yamaha and KTM for steamrolling Big Red this year worldwide.

Kawi only has 1 Overall win...

Big Red dominates the Retail side of things...Curious if you have ever worked in a dealer? Honda is a badass company that does alot for our sport, especially for the kids.

I know youre just giving them shit all for fun. But at least they have some wins, you gotta go to Europe to see a Kawi win a moto.

I actually worked as a service manager and parts manager in 3 different Honda dealerships in NE Ohio and NW PA back in the 80's. Also did a stint as a parts manager in a Honda car dealership in Chicago in '91. I've done the management training courses and certified as a parts and service manager for bikes and parts for cars.

Still hate 'em!

Ridgeline sales are up thanks to Hondas sponsorship of the Pulpmx Show.

Isn't Tim Gajser 4 points out of the championship lead? Not a fan of Honda but maybe a little premature.

I work for a Honda, KTM and Husqvarna dealer...and we can't give a Honda away compared to the other two. Granted it's just small snapshot, but that's been our experience. It used to be the other way around. Funny how the roles have changed.

I think it may be time for Handa to give up on Canard and putt all their eggs into another basket.
All the other factory teams have major, YOUNG, riders.

Gajser still has a shot though. But yes. Honda is not making the results they used to do. Been a while since someone won a big bike championship on a red bike.

Anytime Honda fails to win a title, its a good year.
8/18/2015 12:56pm
I'm not a Honda hater at all but I don't think they won a single title at Lorettas either. Suzuki was shut out also I believe. The one I enjoy most was KTM was basically shut out at LL also. Ya, they won some 50 and 65 titles. Basically the only thing in the class. Give them a couple C titles as well but lets face it, who cares about the C class. Kawi and Yamaha dominated at the ranch.

I'm surprised you didn't come up with this thread before the OP. You're like the poster child for bashing Honda and it's lack of titles for the last decade. I used to think Suzuki's were piles of crap and now I own one.

I think they'll win Moto3 this year but MotoGP doesn't look promising. For sure their engine will win Moto2 Whistling

Used to be over half of my group on Honda including me.... One guy left but he is going to snag his new KTM tomorrow. Dual exhaust rules! It would be interesting to see sales now vs 10 yrs ago.

Did you you jump up and cheer when Eli ate it at Thunder Valley too? He was in a league of his own. Anybody who doesn't think Tomac wasn't going to deliver the big boy class championship this year is full of shit.

I dont buy bikes based on results by pros, no one should...I buy them based on either trialling them out or (in this case) gut feel that its going to be a very good bike. an so far my gut feel has been 100% on the money. The 2016 KXF450 is a goodie.

I mean honestly if people think pro results mean the production bike is good or crap is clearly disallusional, people rubbish the production 2015 Honda 450 yet it did well in SX and might of even won the outdoor title....so dont compare

In regards to Honda spending money and wasting it, read the interviews from a few months ago....2015 was not their target for a champsionhip although they came close to it.

Exactly which planet do you live on where Honda is dominating the sales?

If you think about it....Honda won 5 or 6 450 overalls out of 30 MX/SX races with a "skeleton squad" of Tomac and Canard. What's that....about a 20% win rate?....I know Paulin won Lomell, sooooo....that hardly seems "shut out" to me. How many races did Kawi and Suzuki win?

the real world, in most stats i see published, Honda still leads sales in most parts of the world,

in some areas, they have been passed, MX bikes overall would be one area, and offroad competition would be another,

They may not have won the championship but Tomac destroyed Dungey during the first few rounds. That's what Team Honda is capable of, they're just cursed ever since they made the poor decision of letting Carmichael go.
