Just got to thinking, when was the final year that Honda of Troy fielded a competitive team. I know Larry Ward went back to Suzuki in '98, but did they continue on after that? For the life of me I can't remember and it's going to drive me nuts until I get the answer. See how bored I am today.

I think 1998 was the last year on Honda's. In 1999 they went to Yamaha and Ernesto Fonseca won the 125 east title.

Wow, I forgot all about the. I believe '99 was when Honda went on a rider buying spree gathering a bunch of good riders trying to win more titles. Unfortunately for them RC was still on Kawasaki.

First pic is 2010 when it was actually killbarger racing, second is 2011 Eleven10 mods, and if i remember right the only reason the E10 mod bikes said honda of troy on it was because of a decision of N-style's to help sell the kit cause they had the rights to the logo (IF i remember right...)

I would say 95-96. They had Brian Swink, Mike Brown, Larry Ward, seems as if I might be missing someone else, Mike Craig, I believe.

Sellards was FMF Honda back when FMF had their own race team.

Yeah I guess that's right, I thought the two were associated at one point, but that's right. Him and Vohland were on the FMF team there for a bit, right?

Throw in Casey Lytle on the 125's in 96. Jeff Willow also, he won the San Diego SX that year.

James Dobb was on the team in 95. All five of these riders qualified for the main event at Seattle SX in 95. It was a big deal. End of the year I bought his 250 SX bike from the team as he was only guest racing the 250 class while focusing on the 125 East SX championship.

MX Kied was 97 which was one very expensive year for Troy Racing as they were also sponsoring MC on his one year Suzuki deal.

JW381-Sellards was never Honda of Troy but did have a two year ride on YoT circa 2004 along with Kelly Smith, Danny Smith and the rider from San Diego....raced Yamahas....Greg Schnell....I knew it would come to me. Phil Alderton giving these guys two year deals was not one of his better decisions.

I'm biased but I always thought the Fifth Dragon logo was the most striking logo in the industry. Robert Ibon who worked at N Style at the time was the genius behind the yearly renditions of the dragon.

Agreed. I always thought those were some of the best looking bikes at the time. Honda of Troy always had good looking stuff.
