I dig how the plastic resembles CBR bodywork lines.

I saw that a while ago in a magazine too what's funny about it is that all that stuff already exists on most production bikes today

Low friction throttle tube, DLC fork legs, One Piece Radiator (97 -99 CR250), Twin sapr frame, plastic chain giude (TM Designworks), Wide Ti Footpegs, EFI

Mechanical Mufflers will come very soon as they have been standard equipment on most of their sportbikes and the tubleless tires...wonder if they were referring to mousse inserts?

Anyone see an Aprillia when they look at that?

Racing dirt bikes is the cheapest motosport around. But it is still expensive. However, compared to looking back on on your life and wishing you'd done something interesting/challenging/fun with your previous decades, the cost of riding is cheap. Epic Words from Vital's "Bultaco".

Honda has nothing to do with it.

SUUUUUUURE they dont. Id be willing to bet you that not even Jeff knows Honda is keeping a close eye on that bike. It may be represented by that Italian A-Team but im sure Honda has taken a look at it and may be involved at some level even if it is just data, testing and feedback,

Honda is most definitely in the loop......back when Reynard was giving RC fits when they were both on CR250's it was said that Reynards dad had built a much faster bike and Honda was adament about taking a look at what they had done and were running with.

A future 350? Yes Im sure they know

I don't really remember Reynard giving RC fits when they were both on Hondas? In '02 he went 24-0, in '03 he got beat by K-Dub a few times, then by '04 he was on the 450. And he only rode '02 SX on the 250, and that started rough, mostly losing to DV, but then turned it around.

Just not sure what you're referring to, I know Reynard had the speed tho.

I know RC went 24-0 but Reynard was pulling him enough for Honda to notice he had more HP in that engine package they built. It was either 02 or 03 this was outdoors. I clearly remember reading about this .... I know Reynard didnt win but he was out front a lot and RC had to pass him .....it was one of those years.

Hmm, I'd say try to find a video, but I'm at work and my flash player is apparently as old as the bikes we're talking about.

But, try to find a vid? lol

Got this from a thread on Twostrokemotocross.com

"I know that when Robbie Reynard was riding this bike his dad had his bike running so well that factory honda was taking notice.......does he still do motors? his website is down,....does anyone have his info? "

http://twostrokemotocross.com/forum/general-two-stroke-talk/cr250-build/15/

It was widely known at the time I believe I read it on RacerX or Transworld back then
