Went riding yesterday, just me, the boys couldn't make it. Slow as hell again but had fun. Track was muddy as shit in the morning and then got better, but had an early start and left just after lunch to watch the races...

Been ages, crap I'm sore! Monkey butt, blisters, knees torn up, shoulders and neck locked out and felt like I've done squats all day!

Hoping this will be a little more regular now uni is getting closer to finished. Anyone else go riding over the weekend?

I bet it's a good sore. There is a difference, a good sore from mx or a bad sore from getting older.

Sweet bike, does Bto make their graphics for other brands or just Ktm?

Yeah, definitely good sore... tho I fucking hate monkey butt! Shifting around at work like i've got itchy booty hole.

I designed those graphics myself... BTO does theirs for KTM only as far as I've seen, but I asked the guys if they werecool with me making my own using their brand.

So happy with that bike, anyone who hasn't tried a 350 should.

What kind of pick up do you own? Some sort of Toyota/Landrover/Mitsubishi hybrid?

That is a 1994 Toyota Hilux dual cab, which I think over there is called a Tacoma? I've converted it to efi and added the tubbed front guards, some other little bits and pieces too. Hardly gets driven tho... Just a run about for track days and moving house!

991! That's not good.... I lost a nut on my rear brake adjuster, so almost boiled the rear, but didn't have the consequences you almost had haha

Put 150 miles on yesterday, we haven't had much snow lately so the trails were pretty beat up, so feeling it a little today.

I would love to ride one of those motocross type sleds just one time, must be really cool.

Took the TM out for a ride yesterday, was super pumped going out as had a new spring on the shock. Got about 10 minutes riding, bike was amazing!

Then, just after the warm up ride, my riding buddy axed himself hitting a double. Broken collarbone, broken ribs and punctured lung, so off to the A&E ward for him, and end of the day for me.

Nice. I have been crazy sore for about a month after being off the bike for so long and then going hard for three days a week. Not to mention on an amazing busy private track that is acres of red clay like no other track I've seen in Florida. The jumps are big and the track is prepped every day. It is unreal. I am so happy to be able to ride there but man I am sore.

Bought a new 250SX two weeks ago after 10 years away and have been looking forward to the "sore". Unfortunately the only sore I'll be feeling is from scooping 6" of snow off of the driveway this morning. FML

Good to hear mate! Never cool to take a spill even if you come up with just a bit of missing bark. Good to be back in the saddle again! Fucking hard work tho haha

The owner of my normal track passed away this weekend, so they closed down the track for the weekend. This forced me to ride at the crappy track down the road from me, but I still had a pretty good time even though the jump faces were all rounded over. The only downside to the day was when I high sided after losing traction on the rear tire coming out of a turn, I whiplashed pretty good and hit my head. Needless to say my neck still hurts pretty bad 2 days laterPinch

Yeah crush that's the thing about riding dirt bikes as you get older. You either need to quit or ride more. I have a job that requires a lot walking. I would ride on sunday and it would be Wednesday before I could walk right again.

I keep saying I'm quitting due to this last wreck and I will be selling my 250f. I'm going to take a couple three years off and teach, chase, follow my grandson around through his budding mx career lol. After that I fully expect to pick me up a KTM 350 to ride around.

I've liked that bike option a lot since it came out. My thinking is I'm probably a little heavy for a 250f (I'm 185 but when this accident happened I was 220) but the 450 is so strong it wears me out trying to hang on. So the 350 seems perfect for me.

What really made me think of the ktm (always been a Honda guy) was I had a tip over during a race close to the end of the race and the bike went dead. I was so freaking wore out I couldnt even crank the damn thing. I had to push it til I could find a hill to bump start it. Lol. I was like F*ck I have to get an electric start!! Lol

haha... Mate. The electric leg is good. Not kidding too, at the end of the day a few older blokes will look at you while you press the button and enviously watch it spark up. It's definitely good!

I'm gonna try ride a bit this year and see how I go... I'm never trying to go fast, just feel ok again. If I enjoy it I'll stick with it, but if not I'll go back to an enduro bike and do some trail riding and grass track stuff... Like two stroke said above, dirt naps aren't good, I was carrying the last one with me a bit, just being cautious.

As for the 350 motor, i'm gonna guess I'm heavier than a lot here, and i've dropped to 51 tooth on the rear and put on a loudmouth. Pulls me around fine, and honestly the little less as you're older, if you're not trying to go mach 5 who cares?

Definitely mate, I haven't rode Appin for a bit, usually go to Kembla. Neither tracks are the easiest when the bike time is low Wink

Not been to Kembla, pretty jumpy apparently? The boys have done a bit of racing there but I've just not done it. Appin is tough because of the off cambers and wet clay to slick hard pack but riding is still fun anyways. Might post up when I go down next.

Kembla is a bit more jumpy but they are both cool in their own way. I will do the same if I'm down that way too :-)

Great to see you got some bike time Crush.

I had a sweet weekend racing the stadiumX in Remark.

Picked up third in B Vets, and managed to score a 5th outright in one of the races ( Vets A and B were combined)

Raced with the young punks in C lites as well, went 7-5-4 in the first three before being taken down while in 4th in the last one.

Was a sweet night.

Actually got it in Des Moines. I checked out the '15s at Letko a couple weeks before buying mine. The deal in Des Moines was too hard to pass up, especially with the sales tax when purchasing in-state. So far I've only gotten one 10min ride on it and I'm bout to burst at the seams.
