Yep. The last time I talked to him, he said no. Talking with the team, they said he's okay when he catches the backsides of jumps perfectly, but if he flatlands stuff, it is (or was, this was a while back) still causing him some pain.

Look for him in Aussie Supercross, and at A1.

Much rather see him outdoors than SX these days. I suppose because he hasn't ridden outdoors since May 2009.

RV's "WAS" days are far off in the distance. Talking to him a few weeks, ago...his head is in the right place.

He's taking it (re-hab/recovery/HEALING!) at a better pace than his Dr.(s) had scheduled and it's been left up to him to ride as much as he can WITHOUT screwing-up the EXCELLENT re-hab/recovery he's having.

I have a friend that suffered the same kind of injury and had to go to the same doc...many of the smaller bones in the lower leg/foot are very "hit-n-miss" as far as putting them back together and getting them to heal correctly.

I jus' look forward to RV runnin' down the leaders and makin' it a REAL RACE.

I'm jus' prayin'...

Can't wait to see him back in the outdoors at 100% on the 450.

He saw what happened when Bubba made his comeback and said no thanks. Smile

Joking aside, it seems like a smart move to wait. I'm hoping he's 100% at A1. It took him too long to get going last year in sx.

Ryan is recovering ahead of schedule and is planning on riding the Australian SX. He is
up in Alaska with his cousin right now hunting and fishing and getting the leg stronger and stronger. He will be ready for A1 and I plan on being there to see him come back. I haven't asked him, but he probably will be at Pala, but not to race.

It really sucks as a fan not seeing Villopoto race. Hope he can stay healthy next year and shred everyone.

Thanks Unc. Glad to hear he's ahead of schedule. We need him out there and back at 100%.
