Noticed someone was asking for a new feature, which gots me to thinkin'. (That's always a bad thing) How about whenever a new (snicker) member pops up, you post up who he was in his/her previous posting life? Kinda like a Hall of Shame as it were. Make a whole new forum, and just start adding them in. Make it automated, so you can leave Scottie doing IMPORTANT stuff. Same old IP pops up, POOF! Into the Hall of Shame. Not saying they can't post, just set it so we know who we're dealing with.

Steve , Scottie.....I am 100% in agreement on the IP banning thing. Seriously.....what good is banning someone when they can just jump right back in here with a different name? Most of these A-holes wouldn't use their real name anyways.....they wouldn't want ANYONE to know who they are.

IPs are good...to a point. If people really want to work hard to be douchebags (and there are some out there who do, including the guy who was emailing me repeatedly over the weekend to tell me what a dick I am. Of course, I wasn't the one doing the emailing...). They can set up proxys, and at that point it's a bit like Whack-A-Mole. You just have to pick them out by their posting style and/or lack of manners.
It's usually not very hard to do.

It's usually not very hard to do.
Just a suggestion, how about in addition to the posts displaying the posters name, it also displays the posters IP address. While the whack a mole concept is still an issue, doing so would allow a little self policing as I doubt many of the pseudonym users would go to the effort of a proxy for the various aliases.
