@JHerlings84: I will stay in mx2 in 2015 on a KTM.
And I will race a AMA outdoor national in Unadilla. Really excited..

I am less of a fan of him right now even though I don't think it's his decision for 2015

Well that's good and bad news. He's been in mx2 since '09 or '10. That's waaaaay to long to be in that class IMO.

Was really hoping to see him racing in person in Indiana, but I can't complain I'm just happy to finally see him come here and race.

I am very excited we get to see him mix it up over here. I really hope he/they decide to do two races.

Didn't cairoli stay in mx2 for about 5 seasons? I don't get why everyone wants to complain so much about him staying in mx2 for another season

I do think that he is hurting his legacy by staying in the MX2 class, especially considering it will be even easier for him to win in 2015 (with a majority of the frontrunners from this year being forced up).

However, you cannot say that he is doing it to hideaway from real competition, as he is willing to race in the USA, in order to prove himself. When he says he is staying down just to break records, I believe him. Is that a good reason to stay in MX2? I am not sure.

People always complain of Herlings staying in MX2, yet the lites class is full of riders that never ever step up to the big bike. I could start listing names but the amount of Lites rider who have been on a 250 longer than Herlings is just too damn huge.

As said I'm pretty sure Herlings would want to move to MXGP, but its KTM thats calling the shots (and propably paying Herlings top dollar) plus you cant blame Herlings at age 20 for doing so.

He already has over 50 points on second and he missed an entire GP because he was injured and not even riding that well early in the season.

On top of that, Tonus and like 5 other guys will have to leave and the class will be even more depleted. It's a joke. You can see that he's getting bigger and stronger. He's raced a 350 very successfully many times. This decision blows and I know it was KTMs and cairoli's

I like watching Herlings race. I just hope he doesn't embarrass our guys too much.

Cairoli was racing a much more stacked field. The rules were different.

Who will be impressed by herlings juicing his numbers against a field that watered down ?

wasnt there a rule somewhere that the champ can only defend his title one time?
not sure if it was mxgp or ama.
would make more sense to kick someone out that already scored 2 titles in the little class than kicking out 23 year old guys that ride around 5th place and prefer the MX2 bike...

He's only going to hurt himself by staying down another year. Hope he doesn't get stagnant out there just rolling around by himself.

5th year in GP's. In 2009 he was in the EMX2 class which he finished second to Christophe Charlier.

It's no different than Everts "juicing" his numbers when the GP's were a single moto format. No disrespect to Everts intended, just a stupid time the GP's went through with Dorna.

I think Everts was more motivated to warm himself up for the mx1 class than numbers, but I get what you're saying.

You have stated it will be his 6th year in GP's? Because in 2009 he was in EMX2 which isn't the GP's.

Everybody seems to forget that, as they will forget that Herlings was in MX2 for 5yrs. For the record I don't have a problem with him staying in MX2 for another year...his boredom will bring him across the pond more often.

Yeah its crazy!! He was 14 when he was racing in the EMX2 class in 2009, that was the year Roczen did the EMX2 until he turned 15 later in the year then he moved into the GP's and did the last few rounds.

It´s simple math for KTM, They will dominate mx1 and mx2 for another year, it´s a good business plan. Herlings can rack up wins , earning big money trying to beat Everts´record down the road.

The thing with Herlings is, is that he's really "overperforming". If he was like Jeremy Martin, and started to perform at age 21, nobody would have a problem with it. Silly, isn't it?
