He's going to screw his body up so bad, that by the time he does finally move up, his body will be so broken down, that he may never be an MXGP champ...

He's one of the craziest mx riders of the history. The fact that he tried to race/actually raced with a broken leg last year was insane and stupid ofc.

I hope he doesn't race in Uddevalla, he has a big lead and doesn't need to ride.

The line between a badass and a dumbass is thin.

I hear the jumps, ruts and breaking bumps in MotoGP are crazy rough on the body and shoulders. Wink

I get what you mean though. After two weeks from breaking mine as a kid I was back dirt jumping on my BMX bike.

Lol

He probably won't mess up his chances this time with half a season left and more than 100 points ahead. He's good to go imho with all the medical help he gets.

Collarbone, two weeks healed with plates, he should be fine.

Pro athletes get treated in rehab a little better than you or I

And I'm sure if he thinks it's not worth it or feeling right he will pull out.

Dungey raced to 2nd place in a SX back in '12 and was closing on RV, I think at St. Louis, and he hadn't discovered he had a broken collarbone. Just sayin'.

Mmmm.... Does he need too? Seems he could take another two weeks till the next round and still make the points, he had a big lead and has already tried coming back early from injuries...

Aren't there different degrees of collarbone breaks ? If it was broken clean through and displaced I'm guessing racing this soon wouldn't be an option. If I remember correctly Everts raced the 94 250 USGP at Budds 2 or 3 weeks after a collarbone break and ran near the front.

Just what I was thinking... Everts killed it that day and I think Herlings is gonna go to podium.

I didn't say either but answer me this. Last year he raced with a broken femur and was a dumbass, this year with a plated collarbone and is a badass. Were does the line go? Tib/fib? Is Nagl a dumbass or a badass if he races this weekend? Depends on the outcome right?

Well it's not the same as on the dirt but MotoGP is also hard on the body (well, a bit Whistling )

I just thought if I can come back racing 3 weeks after breaking my collarbone into 3 peaces and getting it screwed together then he should be able to do it in 2 weeks.

It's not even comparable to riding with a broken femur. I don't even know how that worked lol

Herlings learned from last year and so did KTM. He's gonna try to ride today and if that goes well, they make some new X-rays to see how the collarbone is healing.
He/they won't take any risks. But to race and take - let's say - 2 top 10 spots could be very important in the end of the season.

if he takes good points he is a badass , if he doesnt or crash again and doesnt take points he is a dumbass :-)
dont think they will take any risks with a 100 points lead ...

How can you compare nagl or even AC222 situation to herlings.
Herlings has a massive points lead..
Nagl n AC222 are in tight point chase

I didn't mention Cairoli and only used Nagl as an example were the line goes when riding injured. Everything is relative. E=mc2

Yep in 2012 Dungey won Alanta, then during the week cracked his collar bone, raced St. Louis and finished 2nd.

Exactly why I dont think its smart for Herlings to race this weekend.

But Hillbilly knows best. Apparently.
