It's funny how a large number of americans(not all of you) before 2015(RV racing changed that a bit) didn't give a shit about GPs, nor have they ever watched the races give Herlings so much shit and hate. Some of you come here and hate on a guy who rode a race with a broken fucking femur, you call that sandbagging? I would call it showing incredible character and willingness to win.

The guy have had so many very serious injuries these last 2 seasons, he can do what ever he wants. He can stay on the 250 if he can't get ready for Qatar on a 450. I'm not a big Herlings fan but i will admit that he is one hell of a rider, probably one of the best in the world.

Awesome! I love it that ktm and herlings aren't swayed by all the negativity surrounding him riding the mx2 class...

Now keep it on two wheels and win the title this year...and no minibike rides damnit!

He's never had the 450 championship has he?
What would you say if you hadn't decided yet but you get a mic under your nose at a KTM event?

Probably go with the story that you stay, since you are in a class and haven't decided to move up yet.

Let me know when Martin has seven years in the class, when everyone around him moves up, and when he has been the huge favorite to win for five+ years.

Comparing the U.S. 250 championship to the age restricted MX2 class isn't fair to MX2 even if they were both rookie pro's.

HA! Fail.

this topic failed , there is no decision made yet says Herlings

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Jeffrey Herlings answered a question last weekend at the Milan Show and the context of his answer has mixed reaction from the media, Mxlarge included. When asked how he felt about 2016 he mentioned that he would try and get the championship back, thus we thought he meant the MX2 title back. It turns out that isn’t the case.

Herlings: It was a difficult question and they said something like no pressure for you in 2016, so it wasn’t a confirmation that I will race in MX2 or go to MXGP, it was a question and now everyone says I will stay in MX2. I fly to Austria on Wednesday and I will have a talk with and Red Bull, Pit and Smets and some big guys in the sport and we will make a decision, but for now nothing is decided.

Can anyone imagine Roczen racing MX2 7 years later? NO. I smell pussy!

I get the feeling Herlings is a lot of the reason Everts isn't there. The somewhat poor judgement on the 85 fun race (femur). He probably wanted Herlings to move up and push Cairoli out off his comfort zone like MX teams used to do. Looks like management disagreed.

Another couple years and Herlings and Puzar will start getting used in the same sentence.
