Can't deny as a fan that I'm disappointed. Who's his competition with Gajser and Guillod moving up? Only Anstie and he's inconsistent.

A healthy AC222 ,CD25 and GP21 aren't going to be push overs either. Kind of bummed to hear he isn't moving up , but he did have two really bad seasons in a row. Give him one more solid year on a 250 and see him on the big bikes in 2017.

His interview at the Paris SX was to the effect that if the Doctor said he was good to go with his injuries, and he could prepare for the season properly , which meant being back on a bike now, he would ride MX1, but if it wasn't good news, which I can only assume it isn't , then he would have to rest up and ride MX2 , as a result of no preparation.

Really disappointing , but he has been in a bad way for 2 years now.

As "confirmations" go, that was a pretty weak one, he just seems to go along with what the MC was saying.... for a company like KTM and for such a big decision, it wasn't exactly a clear-cut announcement

here's where he says it

I hadn't watched it because it was too long but that isn't confirmation AT ALL.

Hope is back that his test with the big bikes push him towards MXGP.

Maybe he's talking about getting the championship back for ktm in the 450 class? Would be interesting if anyone knows when he's gonna be able to get back on the bike

Hope he races the whole season and gets beat. Then he will have wasted four years instead of three.
So much talent in mx1 and only a few contenders in mx2.

Been a rough few years for the kid. He should just drop back to EMX250....you know, to build his confidence a little bit.

As much as I hate it, I can kind of understand it (this year due to all his injuries, he should have stepped up last year already...)

Well, Jonass and Ferrandis will give him a pretty good run, especially Ferrandis will be on fire in his last MX2 year before going to the US (he wants to leave with nothign less than the title)
The big class would be harder of course but it's not like it will be a walk in the park for him

He should have stepped up last year, but i can understand why he stays one more year because of the injuries. Ferrandis will be a real threat so i think the mx2 championship will be interesting.

yes, right, restart on 350, for me remains in mx2 because he does not have the time to prepare on 450...

A cherry picker of biblical proportions. Made even worse by both Gajser and Guillod moving up.

I hope he has fun "Dominating" the under 23 year old championship support class again. He will obviously be a huge odds on favorite to win, as he has been for the past 5-6 years. It's long past becoming a joke.

still ignoring him i see.....

anyway, he's an interview with Jeffrey, explaining that his comments at EICMA were taken out of context (which I suspected): http://www.mxlarge.com/2015/11/23/jeffrey-herlings-interview-no-decision/

why do you care so much? and don't say you don't care, because you obviously do... as you comment in Every. Single. Herlings. Thread.

i mean, we get it, you hate herlings, but at some point trolling all the threads must get old?

I don't "Hate" Herlings at all. Not even a little bit. I am merely disappointed by his obvious dodging of MX1. Made even worse when the next time he wins an MX2 GP guys like you will call him "The Best Rider in the World", ridiculous.

I mean at least 15 or more riders have moved up while he has stayed down.

His overriding desire to 'Dominate" MX2 again before he moves up is his undoing. Dominating a class when everyone his experience level has moved up is kind of sad.

No different than if it was some B rider slipping down to race the C class at a local track. You may win, but you will get no respect....

What exactly have I said that makes anyone believe I "Hate" Herlings or would warrant admin attention? You just don't like facts...

Yes, he was young when he started racing MX2, but that was six years ago...

Let me know when Martin has seven years in the class, when everyone around him moves up, and when he has been the huge favorite to win for five+ years.

Comparing the U.S. 250 championship to the age restricted MX2 class isn't fair to MX2 even if they were both rookie pro's.
