how do you know that doesn't mean the opposite of what you are thinking?

Because he's not Chad Reed. Everyday that passes by and he don't get clearence to ride. Is another day closer to Qatar.

part of me hopes that he misses the first few rounds, so it frees him up to do some rounds in mx1 and some ama nationals (with no championship to race for)

How many rounds does he typically win by? I'm sure he could miss a few and still be in the hunt for another title.

He could've wrapped it up with 3 to go last season, and that was after he already missed a round in Brazil. He'd have to miss like half the season to give up on the title

I agree. JH might be best served sitting out the first two races (Qatar & Thailand), spend the extra month rehabilitating, and hit Argentina at 100%? Yes, he's spotting the field two races, but the risk of injury (not to mention heavy travel schedule) might make it a viable option. You can bet the Herlings camp is considering the option.

I'm pretty sure he's already back on the bike though. I don't think he's going to have any trouble being 100% healthy for Qatar even if he's not 100% race sharp

He's not back on the bike. Unless he, KTM and his doctor is lying.

I thought I'd seen something that said he was back on the bike. Can't find it though so you're probably right

Jeffrey is NOT riding and there is a good chance he is not ready for Qatar.

It is taking way longer than everybody expected and mayby the remove of the metal pins where not that good..
Im hoping for the best for him, but if he is riding the first few GP's he will be far out shape.. riding wise.

Oh right, last i heard on the situation was an interview with Pit Beirer and he said everything was going okay and that Jeffrey should be good to go for the start of 2015.

Even if he does ride and accumulate "some" points he can ride into shape and be there at the end for the championship with a lot less pressure to win every race. Hope all goes well with the healing process.

Seems like his leg injury could have been part of the reason he didn't go MXGP, I've heard he may not even make Qatar too and with Thailand being a week later, Herlings could have his hands full to win a third title if he misses the first round or two because it will be a while before he is back up to speed and his rivals are getting faster.

But being Herlings I'm sure he will try. I think racing in Mexico has done him more harm than good though. Without that 85cc crash we all could be seeing RV, v AC v Herlings Sad

Even super heros are no match for an 85. Stay off those minis, they are death traps to a full size rider.

Why would you try ride yourself into shape when he's young and just going for a title again that he's won.
Too much at stake. Just get healthy.

Your not going too se him race RV or AC. He is a little bike rider and will still be there in 2016. Dude ain't in no hurry to race any one who can beat him.

Think KTM has a huge say in him staying in MX2. I think Jeffrey is highly motivated to prove that he is the best in the world

He's raced the 350 on many occaisions, not just some MXdN events, the Belgian and Dutch Nationals for instance,I'd have loved to see him move up this year for sure ut he's still only young, imo he's the fastest GP guy, quicker than Cairoli, and I'm a big AC fan!

Mont Saint Guibert 2012 Herlings put a minute on,Strijbos,de Dycker,Bobryshev,Simpson,Leok Guarnai etc

It'll never happen but wouldn't it great if he and KTM figured, well shit, let's just heal up fully and prepare for a run at the nationals instead. One can wish.

If RV does'nt beat the "world" , I will finally admit the GP's are badass, but until then...meh....2012 was Roczens first go at the nationals and he had just beaten JH84, I think he can still beat Herlings to this day. And in 2012 he didn't exactly set the world on fire over here...Whistling

The scariest thing is, Herlings has improved massively since then. He was only a 17 year old kid then, and he was putting a minute on GP winners. And then the week after this he nearly beat Cairoli, taking the best part of a minute out of him after going down in the first turn. The things this kid does, it's just not normal.
