Hey ya bikers, trying to set a new [not very high skill but pointless enough to be new] world record > Extended plank on a Yamaha XT225. Just managed 2'30 on my first attempt, aiming for 4' (I can hold over 6' on the floor). I'm decent but not super good at riding, could you guys give me techy tips on getting the smoothest ride as pos offroad to give my back a rest? I tried slow the first time but I have a funny feeling it may be easier to do it faster.

Cheers!!!

Putting a visor on the helmet really helps weight distribution.

CR500 w/ quick turn throttle system would be best for this task in my opinion.

What is the current world record for a "plank on an MX bike"? And what is your goal?

There isn't one, that's the point, it's just too silly for words. My goal is 4 minutes for now!..

She's so two thousand and late.... Seriously though..... Is that really considered a plank? She should lay down coffin style IMO. with cruise on. THAT'S A PLANK

Two suggestions:

First - fourth gear, half throttle, things happen much faster and it will take your mind off the strain in the back

Second - Stander 'er up on the rear at about a 70 degree angle. It will take most of the load off the back and put it in your legs where it belongs.

ok well if it's 2009 give me links to anyone who's not just laying flat on the bike then? (which doesn't require a lot of abs) couldn't find any. Geeze chill out, it's just a bit of a laugh!

Red power band, but if that's a bit too much the orange power band should work pretty good too.

There was this guy who used to do this thing where he laid flat, but he did it the easy way- on his back. And he could only hold it for a second or two. I don't think was very good- his number was really high.

Then again, he was usually 25 ft. in the air when he did it.

I've seen some seriously quirky videos on here over the years. This one just might be the icing on the crazy cake.

Try a cedar plank next time, then afterwards you can have the visorless gal cook you up some salmon

Was your son born with no hands and feet or did he lose them in a planking accident?

Maybe you should ease into it... something like this first.

We don't like to talk about the accident. Let's just say having your baby plank from the t-top of a '78 Formula Firebird may seem "super cool", but I'm here to tell you that California CPS doesn't think so!
