Anyone know why Townley is riding with number 8 and not 101?

Pretty wet and miserable day but was some good racing, Herlings won as expected, not as far out in front as I thought he would be but he probably didn't push it as no need to on a pre season race.
Seriously impressed with the the speed poojes, sterry and Watson showed, didn't expect them to be hanging with Herlings like they did

Searle had mechanicals in both MX1 races, not sure what happened in the superfinal.

It's a pre season international with not even a quarter of a Grand Prix line up there. Get over yourself.

3 DNF's at least he will get fit pushing in .

It was a good day, even though the track looked awful, i thought it rode really well , Herlings won both MX2 races easily but didnt look like Herlings normally does , as the lap times show.. in Moto 1 he was barely faster than Ben Watson , who was on a stock Husky , bar for a pipe and forks.. did enough to win and no more , which in the conditions was the safe way...

In MX 1 Desalle inherited the lead from Brad Anderson who looked really good on the Verde KTM, till he tipped off, Simpson came from way back , after an off on lap 1 to to close Ando down with 2 to go in Moto1, but didnt get the pass done, which left Desalle in the box seat for the overall, as he lead from Simpson, with Townley close by, Stribos had a problem and slowed briefly , but Desalle looked to have it under control at 15 mins, at which point Simpson passed him , and held him off, and then more surprisingly , Townley ,who passed Desalle handing Simpson the overall.

Superfinal saw MX2 get the first 18 gates, then MX1,in a single, rather than the split drop of the pase few years.

Anstie holeshot, from Watson, and Herlings, and for 2 laps, it stayed that way, until Herlings got to second... all 3 of them were holding off Desalle, Simpson and the 2 Suzuki guys. Simpson passed Watson, but Anstie and Herlings were away, and both looked very good for the win.. Townley tipped off and lost a lap,and desalle and stribos passed Watson.. as the race wore on , Stribos and Simpson went at it in the battle for 3rd, dropping Desalle, until Herlings came round in the lead as Anstie crashed out. He cruised in for the win , with Simpson holding off a determined Stribos.

Searle's charge from the back , with the bike steaming and smoking ended with him up to 8th , before it quit and gave hima 3rd DNF .

Great day , good crowd considering the weather, and some awesome riding on a really difficult track.

What's with every single Husky, factory and privateer blowing steam out from 3rd or 4th lap? The KTMs no where near as bad and apart from Searl the jap bikes seemed a lot better.... And Desalles KXF sounded fast and tight, him and Searl together in practice and the two bikes could not have sounded more different.
As above very good day though. Brad Anderson was a highlight, watched him out the gate in moto2, awesome.

Can't believe how smooth Clement Desalle is.

Great day,some surprising results also
Desalle getting his boots cleaned, I was surprised what they did to the bike after the second race

yea, as he was close to Ando..... also saw Pootjes puff a little bit in race 1..... nothing major, sure the conditions and first-races for a lot of riders/bikes played a part

it was one of those 'another lap and he will have him' jobs... except he might not make another lap.

I was happy for Ando , although i was certain it would cost Shaun the overall , even if he won Moto 2 .

As it was BT popped up and did the deed.

A lot of top guys there today in 'watching' briefs... Everts and Jacky Martens, Smets also i think, Bervoets and Dobby too.

We watched from the back of the start, in the superfinal , and the Simpson / Stribos battle had a distinct smell of burning oil about it.
