Jeff Emigs Keys to the Race:
1. Get a good start
2. Don't crash
He seemed comitted to Supercross last year. He got hurt. He must have something going for him or he wouldn't keep getting the rides that he does.Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. I'd love to see him fully commit and do well, because I have nothing against him, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get people to give him rides and money.

This. He has so much talent and has one of the best styles out there.jamma10 wrote: Wish he'd race the damn Nationals!

At the start of the year he was on it, even before everyone got hurt. The question is, can he stay focused the whole series..?Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. RC and Dirt shark getting him to the races hardly sounds like a ride. Who else can get a top 10 with a full field, or a top 5 for that matter, who doesn't already have a deal? What's your interpretation of fully commit?Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. He's good for the sport and he is a draw into their pits. Now if they can bridge that with the hard work and dedication that RC brings to the table.Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. The first half of the season he was a top 10 guy for the most part and also got a couple top 5's (I think he was H&H's best guy last year with 2 top 5's).Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. If I remember correctly he said he can't do the nationals cause he has serious back issues and it doesn't hold up to the brutalness of the outdoors. Regardless he has talent and hope he does well and stays injury free. Cause when he's on it he's on and the results show.jamma10 wrote: Wish he'd race the damn Nationals!

He was out at Starwest riding on Tuesday......Conkey wrote: I would say that that's Josh for sure. Didn't Watson say that they were going to have two guys in Supercross for 2013 but only one guy for Nationals? This would make sense. Monster loves him, Kenny and Carey love him. He's a solid rider and can definitely surprise people with his speed. I'd rather have him than Tickle for SX.
I think Hanny can pull a K-Dub and ride until he has grey hair..NeWskoolmxer wrote: He is like 28 or 29 right? Not much more time left in a racing role for him.
Please appreciate that I call a spade a spade. I'm a straight talker with no connections and no agenda. I will happily apologize if I'm wrong and If I am right I will not gloat. I love the sport and that's all there is to it.
I'd love to have one of his results during my days anyway? And you?Grieby54 wrote: The kid is full of talent, but I'm just not sure how he continues to get rides when he cannot produce. so he has been racing as a pro for going on 12 years but is underperforming.....Grieby54 wrote: I know everybody is taking my comment to the nth degree, but like I said, I'd love to see him do well. The guy has been racing Pro since 2001. 12 years going on 13. How many championships does he have to show for that many years pro, and a good chunk of them in the Lites class? That's why I suggest he's under-performing.

When He came into the Pro ranks most folks expectations of him were pretty high and still are to a certain degree.Grieby54 wrote: I know everybody is taking my comment to the nth degree, but like I said, I'd love to see him do well. Correct. You must average at least one Pro championship every three years in order to not underperform.Grieby54 wrote: I know everybody is taking my comment to the nth degree, but like I said, I'd love to see him do well.
