Be advised that predictions are for mid 90s so be prepared. Sunscreen, not much shade, & lots of water. Stay cool.

Exactly why my wife and kids say, "You go have fun dad. We'll just stay home and poke out our eyes with a sharp stick". Most MX attendees that actually ride/race are oblivious to discomfort. We don't even notice the heat, bugs, dust, noise, shit box stink. In fact, we embrace it as part of a shared heritage and bond. Most regular people would rather have their tonsils removed through their bung hole than attend their 2nd outdoor national. Also explains why SX is so well attended.

Our warmest day of the year so far today. Think it hit 85 degrees. About the same tomorrow. It's starting late this year. Mid 90's ain't that bad....but 113....screw that , I'll go to the river!

I haven't been to all the national tracks but the Iron Man in Indiana is by far the most comfortable I've seen. Even when it's hot there's enough shade (that surprisingly doesn't obstruct viewing) so it's pleasant. I love Thunder Valley but the heat and elevation can be brutal. That big power line tower sucks for shade.

Just make sure to not put more than 2 shots of vodka in your G2 bottles and you will be fine. Cooler temps call for 3 shots. I never do less than 2. I'm doing "Daddy Juice" by 0900 race day most years. This will be the first year in the last 12 that I haven't made the race. Seriously bummed.
