Hoping someone can clarify as issue. In two different MXA articles they say removing some oil from the damping side will offer a plusher ride for slower riders. I'm a slower vet rider.
Problem is, one article says lower the height by 10mm and in a different article they say to lower by 10cc. Anybody know which is correct?
Much easier if it's 10cc as this is an easy to measure and remove volume. In the past I just removed the oil through the air bleed screw hole.
If it's 10mm I'm not sure how I'd measure current level and then remeasure height after removing some. I guess you have to pull the large fork cap off and stick something down to determine level?
TIA

If you take some out and measure it, it will be either better or worse....if it's worse, you can always add a measured amount back in.
Thanks. What was weird is I didn't think it was just a mistake of units (i.e., mm vs. cc) as the article further stated "lower height 10 mm".
On my 2015 I removed 10cc and it was much better for me from both sides.
The MXA article further said to remove from just the "compression" which I'm assuming is the non-air side?

Also consider trying different air pressures or compression and Rebound settings before you remove oil.
