Graphics on 16 450sxf FE aren't coming together

Edited Date/Time 5/21/2016 10:26am
Been working on this for a month, not sure why I can't get NStyle to get my backgrounds going the right way.

They sent me these first, for the 250 I'm sure:

Then they sent me these:

And just now I got these. I sent them 10 pics of the bike/rear and panels, I don't get it.

These are closer, but really don't look like they will work.

Too much black going on. The second set would look legit if you flopped the black and white. Maybe just have them do a black outline where all the black is now so it breaks it up a bit

Why black backgrounds on a 450?

The black will make it harder regardless as you have to transition the stock graphics which have those long white lines into the plate.

The ones you have on there in the first picture aren't amazing or anything but they're relatively clean, just need the alignment fixed and some numbers. Look at Dungey's bike.

I like the 111 idea.

I'll have em change to white, but still not sure why the graphics aren't lining up well. We will see.

I really dont see what your issue is? Other than the black backgrounds on a 450?.......

It's not just the backgrounds, but they used the monster logo on the 2nd set, and none of the lines on the plate match up. I'll get em to get it fixed, seems like I get a completely different version each time.

It's not a big deal, they did perfect on a few other bikes.

Not bashing on N-Style, I like their stuff and have had good luck ordering from them in the past, but my first set for 16 450fe said 350xcf on the sideplates. Receipt clearly said 450fe so wasn't an ordering mistake. They did send a new set but I haven't opened and checked them yet. Might need to take a minute to proof their stuff before shipping

Yeah I always get proofs, on my kids bike they had 94 instead of 49. Not sure how.

I've left out all the conversations on what I asked em to change Between these proofs, second set had diff sponsors than the first, then other stuff was changed, 3rd set I asked for RedBull logo on the front, an this is what I got.

Guess they are churning them out

You should give McCoy Oldenburg at OCD Graphics a call...he'll get it right for you. http://designsbyocd.myshopify.com
I have him do all my graphics...been using them 2 seasons, and not a problem. Graphics are durable, done to my spec, and look great. If you go with him tell him that GNCC Lee sent you.

The first set is for the new 250FE. The second set is for last yrs FE and the stripes will never line up. The 3rd set seems to be correct for this yrs bike.

Why are you putting black backgrounds on a 450? (Expect lots of people to ask you this while rolling their eyes.)

Save yourself the hassle and get the proper white backgrounds for your 450. It's your bike but just be prepared for this question to pop up, especially if you race and specifically if its and AMA sanctioned race.

Buy some numbers, use stock stuff, put a clear sheet over numbers.

I've seen a few people bring this point up here. It could be that black is the color required by the organization. Around here, novice's have black backgrounds, amateur riders are yellow and experts/pros are white.

Nobody would ask around here, they'd just assume he's a novice racer.

Not sure if this helps you, but I went through Decal Works and they were spot on with the backgrounds.

nice! those look great!

well 10+ emailed proofs and finally getting the person emailing me to get the guy doing to graphics to get on the same page, here we are.

Something about they can't print the RedBull Logos (but can Monster, All the OEM and all the other vendor logos), then couldn't get 450sx-f added to the last 2 proofs, then blah blah blah.

So final cut:

They can't, I just cut the Decal works background to leave the Red bull on the plate.

I ordered a full set from DeCal Works for my kid and decided to order a set of backgrounds for my KTM.

Looks like the ones from DeCal Works are spot on.

Finally got around to putting these on, it's rained 30" since I ordered these and still going. I don't have any pics of em on yet, still working on the kids bike, but here is both sets side by side ( decal works on top and NStyle on the bottom).

Hands down Decal Works matches color spot on, logos look correct and just larger cover much more area.

Here is NStyle on top of Decal Works:

Got em on. Best I can do. Takes time for sure, but very heavy duty. Nice.
