Plus that was a race that everyone said that the top runners were working on not killing themselves there. Not saying they rode conservatively but it's very indicative that JG ran as fast as he could while the others might have tried to escape as best as they felt comfortable. He won fair and square but he's not a championship contender as far as the whole season is concerned. Having said that, I don't believe it's necessarily a bad sign for Reed, but it's not a "championship contender" like he explained he wanted.
