I'm a noob here.

But just for the fun of it....I had to dig out my shit-stirrin stick.

I was out of the scene due to injury (yes it was life-threatening....just sayin....)from '02 til 2012. Couldn't ride, so I didn't want to even watch.

Missed a lot. These kids these days are damned impressive. But leaving sheer speed out of the equation, whose the SMOOTHEST rider of all time?

My vote goes to SuperMac.

That ought to get some people riled up.

Okay....I can see Bayle....still think McGrath was smoother. But Stewart?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry. My favorite SX/MX quote this year was.."AND STEWART GOES DOWN!!!" I even called the corner at Thunder Valley this year before practice even started. Fast yes, but smoooooth?

What's your definition of smooth?

Mine is effortless riding style, super fast but doesn't always look fast to the eye and minimal crashes.

Stewy isn't that so much. RV either, he looks to the eye so aggressive and on edge. Those two are tops in a sheer speed category. I agree MC and Bailey silky smooth. Just my opinion.

Exactly. When a rider screams around a Supercross track and his suspension never seems to move, he doesn't seem to be trying, and he can effortlessly put the bike anywhere he wants at any time....that's what I mean by smooth.

Nothing against any of the riders who go 1000x faster than me or even faster than Jeremy. But watching him ride was watching a master.

Oh, duh! Windham. But when Stewy is going fast... he's smooth! In my opinion anyways.

I vote nick wey in his prime for the smoothest and then for 2nd place i pick nick wey now. His riding style is what i have always found unrealistic to match.

Windham for sure. Robbie Reynard is another name that comes to mind........his lower body would whip around while his upper body did nothing....amazing.

This is actually tough the more you think about it cause Stewy, RV even RC look smooth when they win.

Windham and Huffman super smooth.

Btw, MC is The King. DeCoster The Man, just sayin

Lol.

Okay. I agree. But you should have seen everyone's face when three little girls went up to the KTM rig, ignored everyone else and asked if Mr. Decoster was there.

He came out of the truck with a gleam in his eye and spent all the time they wanted with him.

I was a proud papa.

Roger D was to smooth as Steve McQueen was to cool. The Man set the standard in MX for smooth. I am as big a Windham fan as anyone and he is pretty close. Bailey, JMB and Lechein are all very good choices too but IMO nobody
beats the original. 'Nuff said.

I'd second that.

Lechien and Bailey are also good picks.

Michael Brandes was another that comes to mine, didn't have the results that some of these other guys had but when he was on.....that guy looked like he wasn't even trying.

Reed on the 2013 Honda.

Nah, just kidding, in SX the King and outdoors Bailey, Lechien, or Bayle. They all made it look easy.

ive been watching the 09 supercross season this weekend because i have flu and i cant go ride. When i watch JS7....man, he is smooth in those sx tracks with his yamaha. Reed looks also very good on that Suzuki. Its also nice that RV2 is getting passed very often :D

I also watched the 06 motocros des nations where JS fights with Steffan Everts. Everts is much smoother in that race.

Check it out, its realy fun to watch how differently those guys ride at "similar" speed.
