I have always been a Matt Goerke cheerleader because I know how bad he wants it. I remember that feeling. He will train to any length and do anything to win.

He has the speed if he could get the right program. Honestly, I think this is the story of the year.

Matt is just one of those kids you just have to love. He's just a genuine moto kid with a skill and a dream that goes for it. Watching the recap of his Southwick 2009 win got me as choked up today as when it happened. Yeah that's right..I did just admit that..lol That smile and thumbs up on the podium he gave last year just reminded me of watching the genuine excitement you see when a 10 year kid wins.

Today goes to show what you do when you race just for the love of racing and last week showed us what you do when you're "over it" and just race when you absolutely have to race.

Georke.. Fight til you can't fight no more. Podium and smile for the media and fans..

Stewart.. Ride til you feel like you're fighting then quit because you don't have the heart to fight. Run to the trailer and hide from media and fans.

I was real happy for Matt. He had a great day and not only did he finish good but he looked good doing it,in control and on the gas.

Great ride coming off the couch! I hope that Matt can string a full season or two of uninjured racing together. He has had some bad luck lately.

Apples and Oranges, a young guy coming up and getting a few podiums, 3rd at Southwick, way too go! James Stewart on the other hand does not have the option of finishing even 2nd without being piled on. It happens in every aspect of society, a new hero emerges and we treat him like a God, and when he falters, we chop him down faster than you can say shiz. Someone even compared him to J-Law. okdoky than.
Now we have crowned Dungy the new God, but wait til he faulters and he will be chopped down too, there is no where to go once your on top.
And maybe, just maybe, after you have been racing since you were two, James doesn't love racing anymore. It has happened to the best of em, mx can burn a guy out, especially when you are expected to win every time out since the age of 14.

By the way, no one but no one gets to JS's position by not having heart. He even said himself, Id die trying to win, that is how much he despises losing. If you want to accuse James of anything, it is having to much pride. Just like when Bob Hannah promised his fans, Suzuki etc he would win the 250 USGP, He won but still apologized becasue Johnny'O had a big lead and ran out of gas on the last lap.

Saying a guy who has WON multiple titles in the most brutally demanding sport in the world has no heart has GOT TO BE THE DUMBEST POST ON VITAL, EVER.

karma,

i ask in the most polite way, please shut the fuck up. this is a matt goerke congratulatory thread, not a stewart has no heart thread.

thanks.

back to the topic at hand, goerke is a bad ass no matter what team he's on or how much practice he did or didn't have. he can twist the throttle and makes a lot of factory riders look silly. awesome race!

Peelout, I think Matt is awesome as well and that was the topic until dan doony talks about stew having no heart which is f-ing ridiculous. I guess I shouldn't take the bait, anyhoo if you want to tell someone to shut the fuck up, I politely ask you to at least ask the right guy. Thanks

no problemo, that was resolved quickly.

is goerke racing all the last two from here out?

all i know is he gained 4 more fans this weekend (me and the three i watched the race with)

and another thing.... why the hell did they focus on alessi and him, UNTIL he passed him? they didn't even show the pass on the replay... poor broadcasting yet again

I posted a "congrats" to Matt in the Goerke vs Stewart thread and when I hit ENTER, I woke up in the dumbgeonDizzy Matt is a real moto dude...riding the bike and doing better every time he lines up seems to be what makes him tick. As a fan, I don't ask for anything more than that. Probably why I also like Ryan D and V, the Alessi's, the Hahns, the Whartons, Canard, Christophe, BT....heck, now that I think about it, I only know of a couple of riders that I ain't a fan of...(I didn't say hate).

Matt used to kick the shit out of us when we were kids. Ever since then I have been a huge fan. way to go Matt
