Just got word that Dave Jordan, the original manager of Kawasaki Team Green back in 1982, passed away this morning after a long battle with various lung ailments. Mr. Jordan was very influential in the careers of a lot of top amateurs back in the day, including Billy Liles, Keith Turpin, Kyle Lewis, Randy Jones, Eddie Warren, Tommy Watts, Rodney Barr, Paul Denis and many, many more. He also played a huge part in the development and early success of the Loretta Lynn's AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships, which he helped put on the map by recognizing its potential and sending the box vans to Tennessee that first summer in 1982.

Dave Jordan played a big role in the laying the foundations of not only Team Green Kawasaki and Loretta Lynn's, but amateur motocross as a whole the past three and a half decades. He left the motorcycle industry long ago, but he returned to the ranch a few years back for the 30th Anniversary Celebration, along with his Team Green charter members Billy Liles and Keith Turpin. He was pretty overwhelmed by what it had all become...

A shout out to the guy that helped the kids from Nor-Cal that no-one heard of...and helped us beat the SoCal kids!

Thank you Dave Jordan. You are already missed.
