So... I just found out that my brother is having a baby. My wife has me now wandering around kids stores all the time and I have been looking at all the different "stride riders" or bikes without pedals they have these days. When I was young you just had to crash with no training wheels to learn. But today these look a great way to get kids used to balancing on two wheels from a young age.

Anyways, I came across this "Kinder Feets" bike and liked the shape of the flat wood. I thought damn, you could make a graphics kit for this thing to make it look like a motocross bike.

So many hours later this is the result of my home grown decal kit. Let me know what you guys thing.

I still need to do a rear fender decal behind the seat. I was debating putting renthal grips on it.. But my wife claims the foam ones are designed to keep the kid from impaling themselves so suggested we leave them. I would also love to build a mini works stand for it to sit on.

I think it turned out pretty good. I already have a request to build a Yamaha for another friend who has a young one.

Now that I have all the shapes and designs in the computer if someone else wanted a decal kit, it is all still a one off, so I can do custom name / numbers and it takes quite a bit of time but wouldn't be as bad.

Let me know your thoughts.

Was it all the links and references to his business that made you think that? Oh wait, there weren't any links, or references to his business, just a guy who made some cool graphics for his nephew's/niece's Strider. Have the best day ever.

That is awesome! I just showed my 4 year old and he loved it! He started on a wood strider a lot like that one, he is on a 16in redline and a pw50 now but if he was younger I would be hitting you up!

Nice, would be interesting to see what it would look like with out the front "fender".

Agree, when I first saw it I did not think of putting the "motorcycle" parts on it as well, it was going to be just more of 2D decal/number only kit.. But.. I couldn't really figure out what to do with the empty space.

Below is no front fender.

It does look kinda weird because I had modify and bend some proportions to make the swing arms, foot pegs, and forks line up.

Impressive! My daughter had one of those (uncustomized unfortunately) when she was younger. It did have a pretty cool "shock absorber".

This is the one she had:
