EMX2 is clearly alot more interesting to watch as you know that thats the best young riders out there but MX3 is a good series, well run on some good tracks and it had some massive crowds too. I just think it feels like its full of guys who missed their chance in MX1. I think with the new under 23 MX2 class rule that series will have a lot more names in it for next year, maybe that'll help interest in it.

It's too bad to see Pela go to Enduro, he is a good guy, but there is a lot of talent in the field at the moment and money is tight...the way it goes

Yeah I guess with some of MX2 riders forced up and missing on rides then maybe the field will get deeper. Although some of the guys prefer to stick to their national championship. They should at least rename it the EMX1 and stop going to latin america which is too expensive already for a lot of MX1/MX2 team.

Enduro riders must be pissed off as they see MX riders take their spots. If you look at this year ISDE team mainly MX guys Meo, Thain and Nambotin...

Motoverte announced today that this year MX3 World Champion Pierre-Alexandre Renet was moving to the enduro serie next year since he can't find a decent MX1 or MX2 team. You really got to wonder what's the point in having this championship these days. It use to be on to please KTM and other Euro brands when they were trying to sell big 500-650cc bikes but these days everyone is running 450F and the championship is just a Euro B championship. Now thats ok if the idea is for the top rider to get noticed and have a chance of getting a ride in MX1 the next year but for a guy like Renet who had good results in MX1 and MX2 in the past before getting injured and has won the MXDN with DV and Seguy to have to change sports is a bit sad.

MX3 should just be ditched and have 85cc or 125 2stroke run alongside the EMX2 championship.
MX3 certainly is a sideshow to the MX1 and MX2 classes. Seems a bit silly to even run the class with 450's primarily participating.

I like th e2 stroke idea. It will never happen, but I like it.

What's the point of having a class (2 smokers) that sound better and may be more visually exciting (Passing? More than two guys able to win an overall) than the "Premier" class? The "Lites" class (Gag and Barf on the name alone) is already the more exciting class with a wider variety of possible winners. The 450 guys ("Regulars"?) may be faster but the outcome is usually settled if the correct one or two guys go to the right airport on Friday. Why don't we have an MX3 class in this country? It should include all the guys that haven't podiumed in the class after their freshmen year in the "Premier" class. We could call it the "Portly" class. Ya know, Like "Lites", "Regulars", and "Portly's"

It was Yves Demaria that won the MXdN with DV and Seguy in 2001, not Renet.
